“Always go look at Dollar Tree first when shopping for an item. Much more inexpensive here. You can buy so many of your needed items here for a lot less. Toiletries, greeting cards, Kleenex, kitchen stuff, even food and candy. It's just so much more affordable here. Then go buy your other items at HEB or Walmart. It really pays to go here.”
“Wow, this store is amazing! We came all the way from South Padre to see the biggest DT in Texas, and we weren't disappointed! Two things added to the huge size to make it even more amazing! First, it was super clean ... looked like a brand new store! No boxes on the floor, no untidy counters! Second, we got there right as the store opened on a Saturday morning, and for the first hour, WE were the only customers! Queen for a day in the BEST DT IN TEXAS!!! We will be back for sure!! Don't miss this one it's worth the drive FABULOUS!”
“7/25/23- I would like to update my review. The store manager Tangela, personally reached out to me and sincerely apologized on behalf of the employee. She made me feel acknowledged and heard, which I appreciated very much. I did go back to the store with my children and Tangela made sure we had a pleasant shopping experience. She made it clear that this will not happen again to me or anyone else. I can see how much she truly values her position and this company. Thank you, Tangela.7/20/23 1star-This employee shouted at me and my 6 year old daughter when we walked into the store at 9:50 “FIVE MINUTES!!” When it in fact was not 5 mins till closing. She then proceeded to shout from across the store “WE NEED TO CLOSE!!!” After about 3 mins of us looking for what we needed. Then she followed us and continued to shout they were closed at 9:57 and that I need to hurry up. I started to record because she was scaring my daughter and making her extremely nervous and to also show how she was acting towards a customer that just needed to pop in for a quick snack and baby diapers. On my video you can hear her phone alarm go off at 10pm when I was already checking out at the register. I’d like to warn others about how this store treats their customers and how their core values mean absolutely nothing to them. This rude, and disrespectful woman should be ashamed of herself. What’s even worse is that this isn’t the first time this same woman has acted with disgust with her job. She always has an attitude anytime I’ve visited this establishment. Shame on this store for continuing to allow her to work here.”

“Came to get some foil pans for tomorrow. Walked around and got a few things for Easter. I originally got a big plastic tub but at register it was ringing up for $5 when I had gotten it towards the back where i was expecting it to be 1.25 since several were there so look at the prices when they ringing it up just incase.”
“One of the cleanest DG’s I’ve ever seen. Usually you go into a DG with fear that the stock may cave in on you and you’ll be trapped forever. This one is kept clean as possible. The staff is nice as possible. The customers might stab you. But I’m pretty sure the staff would at least call 911 to get you help before posting it on Facebook Live. Still have to say one of the best Dollar Generals on the South Side of San Antonio.”
“Everything was beautifully organized and somewhat stocked for what I go in there for. I always go to get soaps for the bathrooms at my job. The smells they have are always giving me compliments. I also buy the pens that always disappear unless I keep them in my pocket. They have yet to disappoint.”

She helped make my trip quick and easy. They keep this store pretty well stocked making it easy to stop in here and pick up what I need. Keep up the good work.”
“It's amazing what you can find for $1.25 and how quickly that adds up! Still, I always shop here for greeting cards and gift bags because it's silly to $4-$5 for either of those items, which is what you pay anywhere else. When it comes to holiday decor, arts and craft supplies, teaching tools, kitchen and laundry goods, and just so many more household goods they just can't be beat.”

“This store is good and they have a variety of products but the staff is horrendous, most of the women who work in the store believe they own the store and are angry as if they will be forced to work there, which leads me to think that yes. They don't like their job, they better leave it, maybe someone else will come and do it better and in a better way.”
“Every time I go in that store is very clean and the staff is very professional. The store is neatly organized. I'm very surprised with some of the merchandise that they have in stock. The merchandise they have in stock is the same kind of merchandise that you would find in a bigger grocery store. Even some of the prices are better than the bigger grocery stores. Haha now day’s you have Karen’s who can’t say what they want to say when they’re there at the store they have to go Vent all over on a review . I don’t know about making you feel uncomfortable I have never felt uncomfortable even at that I take my dog and to the store and they welcome us with open arms. my dog and I Have never felt uncomfortable at this store. And well sorry do you blame them for following people around when they’ve been hit so many times by thieves . I would do the same thing to . I don’t even work there and I still follow people around I make sure that the store is good so that way the workers don’t have to do it. you get these lowlife people who walk into the store and open things as if they’re going to paying for it. they eat it they walk around the store and then they leave it there for the workers to clean up that is not their job. “This store is great for a quick in and out trip. They are more expensive then a grocery store however not as expensive as a convenient store. The store is a bit on disarray and needs to be cleaned.”
