1st time here...wanted to get roots done.But, I didn't ask how much until I was in the chair.....WOW $$$$$ shocked at the price!But.....I went ahead with it....I was not disappointed!

I called first, got an appointment for less than 60 minutes notice. Went in 30 minutes early. Desk clerk asks my name, then forgets it and then remembers it and says it. She was nice, she was complimentary about my attire. I met Rudy, he was friendly. The attendant washed, conditioned my hair and rinsed, then applied a leave in conditioner. Rudy cut my hair per my verbal request. I told him jokes and made him laugh 4 times as he appreciates "clean" humor. That's very good. He cut my hair, blow dried, trimmed it again, then asked if I wanted spray which I do prefer them to ask me first before applying it. I gave him a 20% tip and paid my bill. He said Thank You! and asked me to come back offering two business cards. I liked the haircut and the whole experience was pleasant. So why just 3 stars? When you dress well and the first impression you give is "well done," any hair dresser must understand that perfection or near perfection is most likely expected by the client. But that did not happen here. I went home and had to clip hair that was not flush or setting flat with the rest of the cut in 3 places, so the cut was not perfect, not completely "smooth." Then I just told myself, it was a first time meeting, first time cut, first time experience. I am going to return and see what happens. But I will say that a haircut is the most beautiful part of any woman's appearance and the initial point of focus for the onlooker. Great pride should be taken for each and every client because services are paid for and the result is the business card, not a 2x3 piece of paper. Time will tell on this next review. I was referred to this salon.

It was Saturday April 9,2016, i was on the hunt for a salon. My hair looked like crap i desperately needed a hair cut. Had not found a hair stylist to cut my naturally curly hair in the year and half in San Antonio. The first salon i walked into did not send out the vibe needed to trust them. I turned around and left. Driving down Huebner i saw the Designer Hair Studio sign. As soon as I walked in and Rudy came up to assist me I knew I was in the right place. In had no problem waiting the 30 minutes he said it would be. He gave me the best hair cut I've had in years. I know longer have to resort to cutting my own hair while looking for a stylist. I'm so ready to go back for another hair cut. I'll not so patiently wait a few more weeks. Oh did i mention Rudy 's an excellent conversationalist? Very interested in the person in the chair, but not too talkative. While I live in San Antonio Rudy will be my stylist. Beatrice Shepard
