They do not cater to English speaking customers. I've called a several times throughout the years asking for prices of barbacoa, etc. And I get hung up on once the Spanish speaking ladies who answer realize I don't speak Spanish. At the restaurant food counter it's 50/50 you'll get a Spanish only lady which makes it difficult if you have any questions before you order. All the people running the register up front have always been proficient in English and have always been very nice. Their website is very remedial to say the least with no pricing or online ordering. In closing I'd like to say i still sporadically patronize this store because the food is authentic and has the best barbacoa in the neighborhood. Their tortillas are made fresh on site and the also have a decent mexican bakery. What got me writing this is it's Sunday morning and I am craving barbacoa. It's only for me and I'm wanting to know the price of their 1 pd barbacoa special to see if it's worth me driving over to pick some up.

When making a phone call to ask something, the lady who answers hangs up immediately saying good afternoon. Terrible service.

I don't speak Spanish and the cashier refused to take my EBT card with a long line behind me. It was very embarrassing. I will never shop there again.

In Texas we LOVE to BBQ. You can always find different cuts of meats & some already seasoned or marinated for you!

Need to cashiers at all times. If they’re going to be busy, there was a long line I waited 30 minutes to get to the register they I told the lady you should have two registers open at least and she just looked at me like she didn’t understand me they should speak English. This is Texas, not Mexico

Their prepackaged food was expired. They had a sausage with mold on it.

Worst market , I grew up coming to these meat markets & taqueria, can’t speak for the market but the taqueria served cold food. Dead Flies on the window seal by booths. Food was given to us one taco at a time , not even one person at a time. But again all cold. Won’t be eating here again.

Culebra is a great taco place and supermarket. You can find all the Latino brands, fresh tortillas and vegetables. I've been a regular for over twenty years.

I'm so disappointed with this market store, use to be a very crowded place with decent affordable prices, now I just see a handful of customers, I can't blame them cause their prices are getting ridiculously high, sundays Barbacoa tacos were $4 last week the following week BANG!! $5 now for one taco SMH, I understand todays inflation but a business should take baby steps when increasing prices not a big jump within the span of a week.

Do not trust these people!!! I went in to get tamales and the bean and cheese did not have a price on it that only had qty of 6 the cashier scanned it for me just to check and it was $7 and change. When I went to check out the cashier Yaomara manually typed in a number for the bean and cheese tamales as it rung up as $8.99!!! I told her it’s wrong that the other cashier scanned it and it came up $7! She tells the cashier in Spanish that some guy told her to ring them up for almost $9!! I speak Spanish so I understood her!! All because it’s close to Christmas they are poking people eyes!! Watch out they are crooks!!

Good ground beef and T-Bone steaks. And you can sometimes actually find habanero peppers there. Sometimes...

My favorite meat market ? Even swamped on Thanksgiving morning and it was better than anywhere else.
