Usually a great experience, but today was different. While having our cart checked upon exit, the door checker found that we had 8 items on our receipt and 9 items in the cart. After an excruciating long time, our checker found the item that was missed. By then, my wife was frustrated and ready to go as the cart checker offered no simple efficient solutions and must have taken 10 minutes to find the discrepancy with only 9 items on the ticket. She was hell bent to take a photo of the ticket and the item so they could score it against the checker at the register. After a very long wait, we left without our $6 package of crackers and the feeling that Costco should train the cart checkers for friendly efficient resolutions with customers for something that is bound to happen on occasion. Yes, the checker at the register missed the item, but the real problem was a lack of training and overall demeanor of the cart checker upon exit.

Costco in San Antonio Northwest really stands out, especially when it comes to its attached liquor store. With all the weird and arcane liquor laws across the U.S., it’s rare to find a good one, but this location shines. The selection was surprisingly great, and the staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about all their products. If you're looking for quality options and excellent service, this is definitely a spot worth checking out!

I guess I have been spoiled by real customer service in Cedar Park, TX. The self checkout service at this San Antonio location is not very customer friendly.
