If I could rate it ZERO stars I would. I am a bartender and this gas station is the ONLY one near my home that is "24 hours" but EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to come at night they are CLOSED. I have been waiting here outside for nearly 30 mins tonight bc I really need gas n there is no sign on the doors, they are locked, absolutely no one is visible inside the store. Absolutely beyond sick of this experience, time after time.

Maybe I just got lucky but went there after hours and after a long hard everything went wrong day I just wanted a $1 tea, it's about all I had so I thought once at register I recalled I gave 50 cents to someone who needed it for bus. I apologized and said I was short. Began to walk back and put tea where I gotten it from and leave. The very nice compassionate individual working there said he would purchase it for me he pulled out a dollar and rang up the tea and said have a good day. I have been a regular every since and I occasionally take him tacos being I too work nights. For me it's not about the establishments but the people and sometimes we just need someone who cares.

This Corner Store is a new concept from Valero. The Corner Store is bigger than the typical convenience store, with gas pumps. It's well lit, and spacious, with plenty of parking. This Corner Store offers a scenic view of the self storage facility next door, and the historic, scenic railroad bridge that crosses over San Pedro. Since they've put in this gas station, they've installed medians on San Pedro that prevent you from accessing the station to/from San Pedro, making you go through the light on West Olmos. When I went, some of the gas pumps' screens were broken, forcing me to go find another working pump at the station. A sign or something would've been nice. This is an especially rough gas station- there's a lot of tough, mean looking people hanging out here, with homeless hanging out on the one outdoor bench in the shade. I've heard that Valero has sold off the convenience store interior to Circle K, while they continue to operate the gas pumps. It's nice to see that Valero is trying out new things with their gas stations, but this one seems to miss the mark.

For any Valero/cornerstore/ circle k i recommend to not go around midnight because they have to do a closing for the day sales ( personal experience). But day or night i always have a great customer service experience.

BEWARE USING DEBIT/CREDIT CARD FOR GAS!!! Went here to put gas using my debit card. Got the message to see cashier on the pump. At the same time I received an email from my bank saying my card has been turned off due to strange transactions. Turns out without getting any gas they charged me $200. Had to get my card turned off and wait to get a new one in mail. If you have to get gas here pay cash.
