Love it here. Playground is close by and restrooms are fairly close. Had a wonderful picnic with our 3 dogs under the big shade trees.
Playground: Nice clean playground great walking areas
Restrooms: Hot but clean.
Dog-friendliness: We took our 3 dogs. It was warm out but they enjoyed the walk and the shade and BBQed beef bones.
Picnic area: Really great but summer heat here is a bit brutal. BBQ pits and picnic tables and trash receptacles at each station.

I took my son to fish the San Antonio River at the park. It was dirty, dingy, and the best fishing spots were blocked off. Also, we had police helicopters flying overhead and they captured a suspect in our vicintiy while we were there. This was about 10am on a weekday.
I lived in a ghetto in Oakland CA, I expect that. San antonio is such a beautiful city, with beautiful people and is an amazing place. You don't know how good you have it. Don't let it just be trash. As a resident now I'll do my part... you do yours!!

Whole park is beautiful, only downfall is the train used to stop at 4 stops and now only stops at the depot by the zoo.
