*FIX PRICING PLEASE!*
Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Extensive selection of books for all genres. Some great bundle deals going on here as well. My only gripe is on their pricing for books with value. It seems the books are researched for listing price but their method seems a bit flawed. If you are trying to comp a book, for example on Ebay, you need to filter your search by "Sold Items". This is the only way to see what the books/book sets are ACTUALLY selling for. Anyone can list a book at a certain price. Many of the books I found interesting here at this establishment, were actually cheaper online because of their pricing method. I would like to see prices reflecting what the books are being sold at. Not simply what they are listed at. Other than that, this place is worth a look.

What a wonderful place and event to be involved and invited too. I really enjoyed it. The book cellar is a very nice place to go for books and gifts of books for that special friend. You’ll find a genre for them and also kids as well at a low low low fraction/bargain of the price. Please visit the book cellar located in the basement of the library. Dive into the many rows of used and non used books they have for sale and emerge yourself into reading again. Hours are limited but it’s so worth it.

Great selection of books - fiction, non fiction, children's - at very good prices. They also have CDs and LPs, with an excellent collection of classical music. DVDs and Blu-ray. Vintage books. Texana. Magazines. I always seem to come away with a lot of good finds. The volunteer staff are helpful and friendly.

This place is a hidden gem just located inside the main San Antonio library in the basement. I had just came across this awesome place and the staff is very friendly and helpful as they are all volunteers. Make sure that you are nice and have patience with you. There are books as low as free, $.10, $.25, $1.00, $2.00 and on up. There is also rare books, cds, dvds and other stuff. Just remember there is construction in downtown but the library is open.

This place is extremely dangerous for bibliophiles! (but in the absolute best way) Largest, widest, and best selection I've ever seen at a library used book shop. And it's well organized, with adult and children's sections, non-fiction ordered by Dewey decimal, and special sections for art, vintage/collectible, holiday, and more.
Edit: If you're going out of your way to go here, you might want to call first. I think they're understaffed at the moment, and last time I went they were closed for the day due to staffing issues.

The staff are volunteers. They're always happy to help you. This place has INSANE bargains! I've picked up Criterion Collection titles here, normally $39.95-69.95 retail, for $2! There are reference books, graphic novels, trade paperbacks, kid's books, etc.. This is one of my favorite stores.
