2024-02-19. Best Western Alamo Suites. Located not too far from Downtown San Antonio, the place is sorta kinda located in an industrial area. My kids were a little concerned because the area felt kind of deserted... I'll keep this short and sweet. The place is very dated, but the sheets were clean and the water pressure and drainage was good. All rooms are suites with a small sitting area, a microwave, and mini fridge. Amenities include a small chlorinated indoor pool and jacuzzi tub, a weight room, and office amenities (computer, printer). WiFi is free and so is parking (in the rear). Breakfast was complementary and was from 06:00 - 10:00. Scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles (in the shape of Tx), potatoes, juice, coffee, milk, cereals, and breads round out your standard breakfast here. Nothing notable really. Check in/out is 15:00/11:00. Overall, it's fine if you need to lay your head down for their night, but there's really nothing in the immediate area to do. The good news is that's it a short distance to downtown (the Alamo, the Riverwalk shops, etc.) If You would like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company... Sleep Tight!

We reserved a room for this weekend but when we got there the hotel looked super sketchy.Surrounded by abandoned buildings and a lot of stray cats outside.Definitely did not look safe.Broken couches, and old mattresses thrown outside. The pictures make it look so nice but once you get there you’re in for a surprise. We drove off quick!

Overall a great hotel. I would happily stay here again. We felt like it was within walking distance to places as long as you don’t mind walking 20 minutes. The big drawing factor to me was the free parking. That seems to be almost unheard of downtown. The only things we didn’t find perfect was that the beds were a bit hard and the hot breakfast food was way overheated.

We will not visit this hotel again, we had been coming for 3 years in a row but now when I called to reserve they treated us very despotically and racist the first time I spoke, they barely answered me a woman who I think has an afternoon shift who only speaks English I thought she was working drugged because I was babbling and every moment he asked me the same thing until I spelled my name and he wanted to pass me to the cleaning staff, he said nonsense things and a very rude man told me that you can no longer reserve without a card when I have always booked with In fact, they respected my reservation and to make matters worse I spent days asking if anyone spoke Spanish because the last time they treated me very well 2 ladies who spoke Spanish but this staff that is now nothing to see

My view from my room was not great, I would have preferred to be on the other side. There is a dog daycare across the street and you can hear dogs barking a lot.My room was clean. Front desk was nice. Breakfast was minimum but ok. The breakfast attendant was super nice. The pool and hot tub were the best part of our stay.

A very comfortable and very clean hotel. Very friendly and attentive, we had a question about where we could take our toddler daughter to play and they recommended Hemisfair.

Been traveling for work for 3+ years now. Stay at hotels constantly. This is the very 1st time I couldn't change the input, in easily over 300 hotels. Why, Best Western? Get that fixed ASAP. Thankfully it wasn't Thursday night football or anything. It does NOTHING but hinder your guests and cause a less enjoyable stay. The price was a good price in relation to surrounding hotels prices, the shower had reasonable pressure.By can't change the input, I've had to jump through some hoops to get it switched over before, this one is seemingly impossible.

The building is located next to a transformer zapping powerful radiation to all the rooms. Was sick 2 nights in a row sleeping here; at first I thought it was the food I ate, but 2 nights in a row had to be something else. Walked out of the room at 340 am and saw the large transformers outside our window zapping us at 60Hz at close distance. Now I am sleeping in my car at a parking lot far away to avoid radiation sickness.

Clean, well priced and comfortable beds. Modest breakfast and served wonderfully by Celestina. A charm!

Just recently stayed this past weekend and got bitten by bed bugs. I called the hotel and the receptionist was extremely rude about the situation and told me the manager wasn’t in and I would get a call
