My review is for the Culebra and Helotes-Bandera location, but those offices don't have their own site. I usually go to Culebra, I have had my appointment scheduled for today 3/22 for 3 months and a few days ago I was texted saying they need to reschedule my appointment, which is difficult because I need the medication within a certain timeframe. I reschedule for the only location that also had an early morning appointment time for the same day at Helotes because I work nights and wanted to go right after work at 9am. I get there right at 9am and I wait for 30 mins as 3 people who arrived AFTER ME get called back. A woman arrived at 9:20 for her 9am appointment and then SHE TOO was called back before me after I had then waited for 45 minutes and double checked with the front desk that I was checked in. Then after a FULL HOUR I was called back for my injection which takes literally one minute to do. I work 12hour night shifts at a hospital and I was DELIRIOUS waiting that long after working all night but I couldn't just leave because it would have been a nightmare trying to reschedule and I would've been out of my window. It is soo insanely difficult to get anything done at BOTH of these locations, it seems like there is always an issue and I will NEVER waste my time like that again. I didn't even get an apology from the staff or the nurses, next time I will just inject myself.

I have been visiting this Doctors office since 2008. My all time favorite is Doctor Brian Poliquin. He will take his time and sit with you to go over everything and answer all questions. I have never felt rushed or felt like a number. His manners and care for others is as bright as his eyes are. He genuinely cares about you. I have referred people to this office and tell them to make sure they see Doctor Brian Poliquin because you will walk out with a plan to good health. When you find your favorite it's very hard to ever go anywhere else. I highly recommend this office and the front desk is always friendly. That is a bonus and you can tell they like their job because they are always happy and smiling. That alone says a lot.

DO NOT go here. Ever since they changed to Village it has been an absolute nightmare. I went in for a breathing treatment for my asthma and not only did the doctor not send over the right prescription but it took them literally 8 times to get it right!!! After sending the wrong one, they then only sent half of the prescription, then they forgot to put the instructions so the pharmacist would not give it to me so I had to keep calling back to have them correct it so I could get my medicine. Went through all of that only to be told that now it’s after hours and they can’t help me unless they CHARGE me for assistance for THEIR mistake!!!!! And my best bet is to call back another day!!! This was literally for my breathing machine!!! I never ever used to have these issues before they became Village. They’ve officially lost a 5+ year patient. Please, please take your business elsewhere.

This place has never had their act together. My records are incomplete or just wrong. They cancel or change appointments. They ask you to be here 20 min early and no one is here. When do arrive not a word. I’ve been here for 1hr and 10 minutes. Still no doctor for my 8am appointment. The 1st appointment. As if I have nothing to do today!

They NEVER pick up the phone. When they do the customer service is poor, unprofessional and extremely rude. I placed an appointment 3 months in advanced (mind you this was urgent testing that needed to be done) and they cancelled it the night before. Do yourself a favor and pass on this sorry excuse of a medical establishment and go literally anywhere else.

Can't get anyone live when trying to contact them. Voicemails go unreturned. You practically have to show up to get something. Never get call backs on results. Now they are under Village Medical and sign says same great service. Sorry, but vast majority will say they are very frustrating to deal with. How can you not answer phones! When you do finally get an appointment, the staff is pleasant. Wait time is alright, but not anything to write home about. If you are looking for a PCP and are thinking of them for someone close to you, look for someone else fast! You will be thankful in the long run.

This use to be a good doctors office. Have been going there 12-13 years. They recently were bought out by Village medical.Horrible service. They called about an appointment they set up. I called back as I missed the call and they don’t even have a direct number to the person that called. Rude people that hang up the moment you say the service has gone down hill.Seriously 3 hours later no resolution. I have had better service from people selling me an extended warranty on my car I no longer own.

I had lab work scheduled at 10AM on 3/2. I get a call 2 days prior to let me know that it needs to be resceduled due to training that they will be having. I informed the young lady that it is very inconvenient since I had to schedule my work around it. I also am scheduled to see my PA the next week and he is extremely hard to schedule an appointment with. After a few minutes of me expressing my discontent and anger at their lack of professionalism we agree that an appointment will be scheduled at the QUEST office down the street 2 hours later than originally scheduled. That will require a change in my schedule. 2 days later I show up at QUEST for lab work only to find out that BFHC has not faxed over any paperwork. The tech and I both try to call the office but no one is answering. The answering service informs me that they can only take messages. I HAVE TO RESCHEDULE AGAIN! I left a message but nobody is calling me back. I rescheduled for Monday, 3 days before my appointment with my PA. I am going to have to go by BFHC to pick up orders before going to QUEST. I can only hope that the lab work will be ready in time. The PA is great! Unfortunately I am going to have to find a new doctor due to the office management being incompetent. This happens too often!

I have been going to this family practice for at least 25 years and PA Brian is always on point. He does a wonderful job diagnosing my medical conditions. And I like to give a big shot out to the lady that drew my blood! I never even felt he needle and I’m a hard stick. I think her name was Blanca or Bianca she really knows her job and I really appreciate someone with her talent thank you!

I have been going to this practice since moving back to SA In 2007 but will be changing after the last couple of visits. In September I was having multiple symptoms and saw Dr Garcia he immediately thought it was one thing and refused to discuss my thoughts and concerns. He ordered blood work and it did not indicate the disorder he thought but he still wanted to treat me for this issue. I insisted on a referral to a specialist that listened to me and agreeded with my assessment Today I went in with upper respiratory issues, fever the whole nine yards and they refused to run any tests, and failed to look in my nose, ears or throat Isaid I had sinesus sent me home worst practices ever encountered

Been going here for years without any issues. I had to switch insurance companies so I called them since they are my primary care office and asked them for the list of insurance companies they accept. Picked one from their list. When I checked into my appointment online the insurance company was even listed on their small list of insurance choices. I scanned the card to them. You would think I would get a call before I went to tell me they don't take my insurance.Showed up for my appointment and they don't take my insurance. I had to pay out of pocket for my visit which was not an expense I was expecting. I am upset because now I have to find another primary care doctor and I am $100.00 lighter. Not sure how to warn you guys about this because they told me they took my insurance but that was not true. I gave them 2 stars because of up until this point everything was fine. Not the best doctors office but not the worst. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise, now I can find a new doctor. This place runs more like a military base doctor office. You won't find that bedside manner, familiar face here. It's a different person every single time.
