Don't listen to whiners here. This is an excellent vinyl lover's store. The owner is knowledgeable and very reasonable with his pricing. You'll likely find whatever it is you're looking for if you spend some time looking with a respect for this business and the owner. Highly recommended.

I wish I had more time in this record store. It is truly a hidden gem and just what I have been looking for as a record enthusiast. The owner was so nice and wonderful to talk too. I plan on making a monthly trip to dig. I could spend a fortune here. His prices are great compared to everywhere else in San Antonio and surrounding small towns.

This place is amazing and the prices are great. Yes, its a tight fit so please be respectful of the property. The owner is such a kind man. He is very knowledgeable and great to talk too. His prices are very fair if not better than most. I record hunt as a hobby. Not only does he have great records, he knows what he has and the fair value of each record based on the condition. He has things I haven't seen in all of my hunting even on eBay.

This store is a hot mess. I managed to snag a few interesting things, but it would literally take you days to sort through all the incoherent piles of records. Highly disorganized and random. No pricing on the records, so you're at the mercy of what the owner thinks it is worth. If you love to plunder in tight spaces and really work for your finds, this is your place. Otherwise, you will get frustrated pretty quickly.

Cluttered, hot, dusty, disorganized, no prices on anything, owner treats you like you're there to steal records not peruse them. I agree with what everyone else here says. So much wasted potential. Music was made for sharing and enjoying, not hoarding in silence. I wish this owner the best of luck with his business but I won't be coming back. As a lifelong record collector, musician, and DJ this place is just too sad to me. I'm sure none of the people that recorded these records imagined their work would end up like this.

A rare place to go when you are searching for a specific from times gone by!

It’s run by the crypt keeper who thinks anyone under the age of 80 is a teenager looking to steal his hoarded treasures. EVEN if you have money, obey his senile mumblings, find something you want to buy quickly, he probably won’t sell it to you because of “reasons”.

The place has all the possibilities of being a record collectors dream; unfortunately, the situation is far from that. The proprietor, or at least the gentleman who is running the place has a little knowledge of records and the values. I asked him to inspect a record for me, he hands it back, and says “it’s a totally clean record”; I knew the item was trashed- I just wanted to check his knowledge. I looked up the value of the record on my cell phone and asked him what was the price. He threw out a ridiculous figure, and I asked him how do you justify that price. He turns to me and says well it’s 28 years of experience. Be very careful of what you buy if you are a serious collector, this place will burn you on price and quality

No acknowledgement from the owner when I came in. He sat in his chair in the corner the whole time. The isles were very small with little organization. Records did not have a price on them. Decent selection nonetheless.

Great music store, lacked a synthesizer section, but did have a cool volca setup on display, mostly pianos and guitars

The record store is on the 3rd floor btw. Once you go there’s a HUGE selection. They’re grouped together by genre but there’s no labels to tell you that, but the man was funny and admitted to it. Fair prices and cool historic building!

Good luck finding anything you're looking for here. There's no form of organization, you can hardly fit through the isles and not to mention a safety hazard (I personally got stuck on one of the crates and ripped my shirt in the process). Won't get much help from the owner nestled in the corner other then pointing you a certain direction. It's a hard pass for me.

If you are a collector of vinyl records that were popular back in the 30's - 60's of country, big band or western I think that you will find this spot as a hidden gem.
