So friendly! Front office staff (Heather and Heidi) are so nice. Prompt to answer the phone and answer all my questions. Vet tech Megan was great with my semi-shy dog. We recently switched from another vet that had been going crazy on price increases and staff turnover for the last few years. The prices here are much more affordable. So glad we found this vet!

I just want to say how much my pet family of 8 loved seeing Dr Powell and Dr H. They went above and beyond to accommodate us when one of our pets were sick or behaving badly. I will miss them immensely . Acorn Hill has big shoes to fill.

This place used to be a great place to take your pet. Never had a problem with them seeing my dog and now they want him medicated which is fine if they can't deal with his anxiety. I gave him meds today but one of the meds I didn't have because I work late and I couldn't just leave work as they called me the day before telling me this. I just got a phone call from Lucas who started the conversation very nasty. Wanted to know why I didn't have meds to give my dog? First of all I have a job where I just can't leave. I called them this morning and told them I could reschedule and I was told to just bring him in we will see how it goes and if we have to reschedule we will. This was relayed by Amanda. This man was very condesending and should not be making phone calls for Dr. Powell. Very rude asking why I couldn't do this and why that. He stated he is the head technician and was told to call. Def will look for a different vet.

Been with this hospital and the vets here since they started always had wonderful care to all my pets! I have more then once had to put one of my babies down mostly from old age and they are so caring and helpful ! ! You cant ask for more caring people!

This place is wonderful, I can't recommend it enough. Our 8 year old dog had a complicated cancer growing in his mouth that was going to require very expensive surgery at a specialty clinic here in San Antonio. I contacted Acorn Hill and Clint and his staff went way above and beyond any expectations. They coordinated the plan for his surgery and were still able to provide the same procedure at a significantly lower cost. Not only that, but all the scheduling, counseling, drop off, pick up, and aftercare were easy. The staff here are all wonderful and made it much easier for us than so many other vets we have dealt with. We are very grateful for everyone at Acorn Hill and highly recommend them!

Our cat was having bouts of sneesing and difficulty breathing. He got much bettet after the first and subsequent visits after he got a shot and a few pills that were supposed to help if the problem re-occured. The pills didn't help, but were still recommended after many other visits, but each time he got better for a few weeks. We later learned that the short term improvement was due to steroid shots (which should only be administered a few times) and that the expensive pills were Apoquel which has only been approved for itching in dogs - not cats - and our cat had never had an itching problem. Beware of any vet Rx advertized on TV. A later suggestion was mites in dry food and that thier food would solve the problem. That food costs over $50 for a very small bag and did not help. Do not take your pet here unless you equate flushing money down the toilet to showing them how much you love them.

The picture has Brianna and Dixie Dixie referred her brother to get nudered because she just loves the care she received there so her brother bambam got neutered today and bambam is going to refer his other brothers there so they can get neutered and they can be a part of the neuter club they just love the care that they got and they don't scream they don't cry and the pups are well loved and the vet texts and the vet they really care about the humans too because they're very gentle with us when they speak to us about Up the love of our children our furry children

Best place for your pets. They are caring, the doctors and vet techs are so knowledgeable. Their fees are reasonable. We have been going to their office for 12-15 years.

So disappointed in Acorn. Earlier this year my dogs nails weren't properly trimmed at his annual exam and I just noticed that the nails have started to curl and grow into his paws. I called Acorn to let them know what has happened and instead of taking responsibility for there mistake, they want to double charge me plus include an office exam to add insult to injury. Pet owners make sure you thoroughly look over your pet if you use Acorn for your pet services. I didn't in the past because I trusted this dr office, my mistake.

My Labrador has been vomiting over the weekend. I called at 7:30 when they opened. They got me in at 7:50. They took him back right away. Dr. Horstmann came out and explained in detail what's going on and recommended treatment. Once again, advised on appropriate options. This clinic does not try to rip you off with unnecessary costs. They apparently would prefer to retain clients for the long term.

Top notch. Love everyone there. Dr. Powell is the best. I've taken animals to multiple vets over the years and he far exceeds everyone. They are all caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. You will not be sorry taking your fur baby there.
