See my before and after photos. I got a hair cut here with Emily. She is the sweetest and most professional. She took time to walk me through how to care for my hair properly. She cut it dry and without product so the outcome was perfect. She’s helping me heal my damage and went way out of her way in both time and consideration to make sure I was comfortable with the cut. She spent a ton of extra time ensuring I knew how to care for it at work, in a foreign country for my upcoming move, and in my personal life. She’s amazing. 10/10, would recommend to anyone looking for a curly cut of any texture.

Yvette is a rockstar! I went in for my VERY first curly girl cut and she outdid herself. She has great customer service, great conversation and was nice enough to teach me how to achieve my salon look once I'm home. She thoroughly went through each step, teaching me tips on how to apply product and I left with not only curly girl confidence, but knowledge I felt was easily applicable to care for my hair day-to-day. She did a great job. The studio was clean and private. It wasn't one of those appointments where you sit and have awkward convo about basic topics. She cares about her clients and cares about THE CURLS! I'll definitely be back. These curls are bouncing y'all!!

For the curly girls out there, search no more! I went to Amanda as a first timer. She gave me an education on my curls that I've never had...and I'm 40! She gave me product options and wasn't pushy on buying any thing. Since going, I've received so many comments on my curls. Go for the right cut, and leave well educated to continue the look!

Yvette is so lovely!! Go to her for a curly cut! I have had many different curly cuts (in different states) and have struggled with my curls since moving to new Braunfels (I blame it on the hard water). I was hesitant to get another curly cut but wanted to give 480 a try, went with Yvette, and am so happy I did! She gave me so much education throughout the appointment. She taught me different techniques for washing, prepping and styling my hair. We discussed products and when/how to use them, and she asked my preference on shampoo/conditioner when washing my hair! She really paid attention to detail and took everything I told her about my hair/likes and dislikes into consideration - she made me feel heard! I am particular with everything and Yvette was patient with me, I appreciate her! I am very happy with my hair and Yvette

I came to Amanda with dry, frizzy, self-cut hair and she made a master piece from it. My curl pattern is around 3a/b and she had no issues reading my hair like a book. She’s so easy to talk to, so fun to talk to. She’s super down to earth and relatable. This is my first ever curly cut and I’m over the moon.I’ve been trimming/cutting my hair myself for as long as I can remember and it’s gotten to a point now where I needed professional help. Amanda was not judgmental at all and I felt like she understood where I was coming from. She didn’t make me feel bad or dumb for not knowing how to do basic maintenance on my hair correctly. She was actually very helpful in her approach. I appreciated the way she never came across as condescending. You can tell she truly has a love and passion for what she does. I’m not someone who is attached to length, so I had no issue letting Amanda do what was best.I will 100% recommend Amanda and anyone else with 4-8-0. I can’t wait to see how she helps my curls grow and thrive in the future.

I've always had really thick curly unmanageable hair, and I've just been putting my hair up my whole life mostly. And the curly style appt I went to really opened a whole new door for me, to be able to wear my hair fully down for the first time

I have gotten curly haircuts from Amanda, Emily, and Yvette and they are hands down the best haircuts I have ever received. You cannot go wrong booking with any of them. They are knowledgeable and professional and have turned me on to techniques and products that have made my curly hair look the best it's ever looked! Highly recommend!

Emily is a 11/10 stylist and a 11/10 human! I have always struggled to find a stylist either because my hair always seems so unmanageable or because I just get anxious about conversing but she is so sweet and so knowledgeable. I recommend her to friends across the country because she's just fabulous.

Let me first start out by saying I used to drive 2.5 hours each way to Cedar Park for a curly cut before these ladies opened their shop. I’ve had some MANGLED experiences in the past so I was hesitant to try them out and leave my cedar park lady. Fast forward I’ve been Amanda’s customer for YEARS (I’m not an easy person to please). Have there been hair cut hiccups here and there? Sure, no one is perfect, but the way she has always put the customer first and fixed it immediately shows the kind of business I want to give my money to and her dedication to her craft. I have recommended my mom and friends to come here and each one has left loving their hair. Also, as someone who suffers from health issues, I applaud the safety measures taken for Covid here. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. These ladies have a customer for life and I wish them all the best success in the world of business ownership.

I have been to 480 hair salon three times and have been pleased every single time! They take the time to find out what you really want and then explain what you can do to get your hair looking as fantastic as when you left. Both Emily and Amanda are wonderful hairstylists and are super good at explaining how to take care of your hair. I highly recommend!

I did the Curly Shampoo Style with Emily. I got so much great information on techniques and styling products for my emerging wavy/curly hair. I was really impressed with this level of information, and I am starting to work on using this information to help style my hair and make it look better. It was a great experience for me. Thank you!

It is always hard to find a salon that can cut and is knowledge about curly hair but I am glad I found this place. Emily has been cutting my hair for a couple of years now and does a great job every time. I have learned many great tips for my curly hair and discover new products. I would definitely recommend 480 Salon and Emily if you have curly hair.
