shout out to my fam.
dave coy center saved my life.
saved me from the streets, and helped me get back on my feet. these ppl went above n beyond to make sure i made it somewhere and still help me when i really need it.
this isn't a shelter per say.
its a transitional housing program.
you pay rent, in return they house you, feed you, and help you find a home if you're motivated and follow the program.
it just takes patience; willingness to be sober; and be kind to your neighbors and staff.
that means you can't come home drunk or high. if you're gonna drink go rent a motel n sleepit off before you come home. no riff raff.
if you find yourself at dave coy i gotta ask you be nice to your staff. these ppl work hard as sht day and night to keep you safe and get you somewhere.
they're doing the lord's work so show some respect. they struggle as much as the residents.
everyone's in the same boat so stick together.
nobody talks about just how hard Nolan street is, but these ppl show up daily to make sure all those who are willing pull through.
i genuinely love these people and believe in their work 100%. i help as much as i can whenever i can because i believe in what they're doing.
thank you so much. ❤️

The staff are great. Juanita, Frank, Chris and even our security. Won't mention his name because he keeps it secure and the shadows are always trying him.

They don't like people in wheelchair I spent two nights and they made up a story that I somehow sneaked out in the middle of the night. I'm a double amputee if they could not accommodate me have the guts to say so. Very cowardly people.

Nice shelter for men. First three nights are free. After that you pay $12.50 per night. Good worker program. Every city needs these kind of programs to help serve as transitional housing at a cheap rate.

The assignment was so boring. Nobody went over anything with me. The staffer said ,"There's the phone, There's your chair. You're on your own." They also didn't like the fact that that my Doctor would fully release me Back To Work on Monday.
