Sadly an overall terrible experience for both me and the friend for two different reasons.
Back in March, my friend and I went in on a Saturday at about 11AM for a walk-in tattoo for each of us. We got our name put on the walk-in que, and walked around downtown for like half a hour before coming back to chill. In the next hour, I was able to be squeezed in for my tattoo - but I really wish I hadn’t. The woman who did my tattoo was very nice and seemed very professional as she had told me she was tattooing for a year now, and yet my tattoo is horrible. It is extremely patchy and not filled in correctly, the weights of the line work is not consistent at all, and the line work is extremely shaky. She also asked me which way was up and down, I told her, and it still ended up being wrong. That part is also for sure on me, but just another part of it. She did offer to fill in any missed spots when it healed up, but I was only in San Angelo on a trip. I would not have gone back if I could though, because I did not trust this artist at all anymore. I will have to get this covered up now, which just makes it all the more upsetting as this was a special tattoo. Tattoo pictured below.
Next problem, came after I was done with my tattoo. My friend still hadn’t gotten in, so we decided to wait in the lobby. Well, my friend never got in because we ended up sitting there till 5:30PM with absolutely no acknowledgment. People who came in for walk-ins after us were getting pulled back to get their tattoos. Because of that, we figured they had lost my friend’s name in the que, so at about 5:00PM I decided to say something. I told the two people at the desk that we had been there since 11AM for a walk-in, and my friend still hadn’t been helped. The guy said they didn’t have any artists available, and then proceeded to take back one of the people who came in after us to get tattooed. I was extremely angry at this point, but my friend decided to wait a little longer. 5:30PM came, and still nothing so we finally decided to leave. I think the worst part is that between the time I got done with my tattoo, and I said something to the front desk, nobody from the staff said anything or even acknowledged us even though we were sitting in their lobby for 4.5 hours, and the artist I had had walked right past me so many times. We even watched a whole Shrek movie in that lobby.
Anyway, this was an extremely disappointing tattoo shop because I had a few friends get gorgeous tattoos from here. I wasn’t gonna make this, still thinking about that day upsets me enough that I wanted to. Definitely would not recommend, but hopefully everyone else has a better experience than my friend and I did.

Wow! Amazing experience. Aubrey did a tattoo for all of my family; mom, sisters and brother, to commemorate our dad. His energy was infectious and his touch with the needle was barely detectable. Thank you for making the experience one to always have we are lucky you were the one to do it with us.

My husband has gone to Julian several times now and plans on going again next weekend to complete his sleeve. My husband said he doesn't want to go to anyone else anymore. His work is amazing and my husband and I can't go anywhere anymore without multiple strangers commenting on how badass his tats are. My husband always asks me to pick my favorite and I just can't. It's too hard to choose. We have four kids and they all picked out different ones for him to get. The shop is also very clean and everyone is friendly, welcoming and helpful. This is the place to go for your tattoo needs. I have none and if I ever do get one this is where I'll go.

Julian and the staff were amazing! Honest about style and capability, very thorough in his design and made sure everything was exactly what I wanted. They were all super friendly and created a welcoming comfortable atmosphere. Julian was great with sanitizing and keeping the area clean. His line work was on point and had a great soft touch while tattooing. I would definitely go back and recommend.

Hands down the best place to go in San Angelo for a tattoo. Everything is clean, professional, and great artwork.
I’ve gotten ink by a lot of the artists.
Alex Trufant: (lovers card and lady face) You can tell he loves what he does. I always bring an idea and trust him fully to execute it and I haven’t been disappointed yet! He’s worth the investment, especially something that is permanent on your body.
Aubrey Trufant: (hand) I love bringing ideas and letting my artist pick which one they resonate with, when Aubrey saw this idea, he turned it into something better than I even imagined! Just like Alex, Aubrey is super passionate about what he does.
Julian Roberts: (staircase) Julian is the biggest sweetheart and always brightens my day when I visit the shop. I was so excited to get a piece he was excited to get on some skin. He has a delicate hand but I know for sure this tattoo is going to last!
I can’t wait to get more work done at the shop, and of course the West Texas Tattoo Convention is the place to go when you want to check out the best of the best artists!

This shop is the best one in town. ? I have had multiple tattoos done here. But
today i came in very anxious about the type of piercing i wanted to get done.But everything changed when Sicko professionally and kind greeted me at the door. She made the process go so smoothly and gained my trust with her knowledge on this specific piercing. (Daith) Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 100% recommend her and the shop. I will definitely come back.
