“Great location with like 7 other hotels close by. Restaurants are close by and the same for shopping. nice rooms, but they forgotto restock the shampoo and conditionercontainers. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking. The pool was very nice! They don't have a Hot tub, big bummer. The hallways at the hotel were so hot. I don't know what they had the temperature at, but with it being 100*-to 103* outside, it needs to be cooler inside.”

“Giving 5 stars, only because 10 stars is not an option. My room is very clean and the staff are very helpful and kind. Truly feels like home away from home. Stayed here long term and was very impressed by my accommodations day after day. Wonderful group of people work here.

Rooms: Rooms are updated and spacious”

“Coming through Texas wound up in san angelo. Hands down! The River League is where you want to be. Reece runs a good/safe room. Also if you play the action is there.”

“This was a great place to stay. Pamphlet in our room said to leave towels that you wanted changed out on the floor. Housekeepers never came in and changed out towels or emptied the garbage our 1st night out of 3. I went to the front desk to get new towels, and they were very accommodating and put a note in to have the garbage done and change out towels that were needed. They could use more garbage cans in the rooms, especially if they are not getting emptied daily, which I recommend.Breakfast had a good variety and was delicious. I would stay here again.”

“We always stay here in San Angelo and it’s always a great stay. The only quirk is having enough towels in the room for 4 people. Other than that this is an affordable, quiet location.”

“Don’t believe the 5 stars, this stay was not worth $280 for two nights. I was bamboozled by the 5 star reviews and photo shop images of the rooms online. In person, the hotel and rooms are ghetto fabulous. The Tv has no channels to watch, no towels for two people, and no iron board. If you stay here don’t forget to bring your own pillows and bathing towels. I gave it 5 stars because I didn’t see not one roach as I was paranoid expecting one in the hotel’s condition and location.”

“It is nice to go and see part of San Angelo history. It was one of the busy hotel back back in the 20s, 30s, 40s. In it's was richly rich in it's hay day. There are business, cafe, apartments, jewelry store”

“Didn't stay there personally but the lobby and bar are very nice.Nearby activities: Not safe to walk busy streets but restaurants are close enough that you could under different circumstances.”

“Office :
Checked in around 10:15 pm and the person at the front desk was respectful and helpful. Front looked cleaned and in order.
Rooms:
Cleaned but had a few issues. First the room was so hot that it was hard to fall asleep even after a bath. The AC took about 2 hours to cool the room. The tv controller was not functioning at least for the volume. You had to select each channel individually. The toilet water pump was not fully serviceable and had to raise the lid every time we had to flush.
Overall: I would stay again but I do believe that the owner has to fix the problems that are reported ( I did report the toilet problem before checking out) in order to get better. A more picky person would probably not stay here again.”

“I'm going to try to be fair here, which is why I'm giving 4 stars, but I am on the fence between that and 3 stars.Pros:- Large rooms- Descent sized TV- Nice, fairly new, furniture- Comfortable beds- Plenty of pillowsI'm on the fence with the carpet. A lot of folks complain about it, but mine doesn't seem that bad. Maybe just old and they have tried to have them cleaned professionally?Cons:- Only bar soap, no shampoo (I would recommend soap dispensers for the hotel. Better for cleaning staff, cheaper for hotel, better for the customer) - *EDIT* staying here a second time in a different room. They do leave shampoo, but it's out by the sink when the bar soap is on the tubs edge. I just missed that the first time. But still recommend soap dispensers.- Mold in the bottom corners of the shower where the wall met the tub. Can't tell me this is staining because I grabbed a wash cloth and wiped it off. But if cleaning staff is missing something so simple, it makes me wonder what else is skipped on. Did I actually get fresh linens? Or was the bed just remade? If your cleaning staff is slacking on important items like this, you need to find out why. Are they over worked? Under paid? Under trained? Just don't care? Whatever the issue, it needs to be taken care of. When your cleaning staff slacks, your customers suffer and thus, your ratings suffer. This hotel was so close to being able to earn 5 stars for me. A little attention to detail goes a long way!”
