I worked at Angelo Running Company since they opened their doors in June 2021. The owner, Joe Cook, is one of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He runs a very admirable business that he is super passionate about. The store caters to the wants and needs of runners based on carefully selected brands that many runners love. The store is constantly growing and evolving with industry trends in the running world. Working at this store felt more like a privileged hobby than a job. The current manager Colton is my good friend and running coach. Pictured is a photo of him, myself and World-Class American Runner Molly Seidel. We had the opportunity to meet her at a retailer exclusive event in Austin that the owner invited us to attend. Angelo Running Company got me back to the sport of running and I will forever be grateful for the lifelong friends I met. I can't say enough good things about this business and the wonderful people that work there. I have since moved to a different city to pursue my career, but if Joe ever decides to expand locations, I will always be willing to work for him again!Run on, Runbirds!

Had an excellent experience here the other day looking for new shoes for running. They carry many different brands that can’t be found elsewhere. Found the staff to be super knowledgeable with regards to appropriate shoe fit and type, and I appreciate the fact that they take a look at your walking and running pattern in order to make sure that the shoe is the right one for you. Would HIGHLY recommend this place. Thank you!

Not the best experience. I didn't enjoy running barefooted on the treadmill while being recorded on an ipad. Due to knee issues and issues with my feet, running is not the best option yet, Despite this,I was asked repeatedly to speed up the treadmill and felt as if I was going to fall. I was then told I didn't really run fast enough to get a good take on analyzing my gait in the video recorded on the IPAD. When I explained what my issue was the sales person kindly showed me some shoes that would be helpful but when I asked to try on the top two I picked they did not have my size. I settled on trying on my third choice but that was not a good fit for me as my knees started to hurt immediately.The sales person said because the shoe is trying to correct the issue I was having the shoes would probably be uncomfortable. . So I left empty handed and a bit broken hearted. The salesman did offer to order the shoes that I wanted to try on but I really felt as a store that specializes in this that there would be plenty of sizes available.

Very pushy & badmouthing other brands they don’t carry - shoes ended up not being comfortable at all on long days as they claimed they would, so it was a big waste of money.

HORRIBLE!!!! I had to return my shoes. He threw them on the counter. Knocked off stuff on the desk. Said rudely to me ‘’Here you go” Walking in he was on the phone cussing out someone because they had bad reception. Never will I ever spend a dime in that store. The guy needs to grow up and not throw a fit because the shoe doesn’t fit.I just called this guy and he said that I was drunk…..

Ignore the one-star review bomb by the gentleman calling himself "GK." We at Angelo Running caught him in an attempted scam to deliberately abuse a pair of Hoka running shoes he purchased from us, and then try and return them. He even admitted when he was in our store that he had thrashed previous shoes like Brooks. I should have realized the red flag when kept asking about return policies as he was even trying the shoe on in the store! GK has posted bad reviews under several pseudonyms. Since he keeps getting blocked or proven wrong on various review forums. We are San Angelo's premier running specialty store. All staff are lifelong runners, as well as either certified running coaches or professional fitness trainers. We offer free computer-imaged foot scans and treadmill gait analysis to all customers.
