“I've been on a 2 yr journey at CrossFit Salado since my wife gave me this birthday present membership. I just turned 61 (Sept 2023) and say I'm going on 21..........true........I'm in the best shape of my life. It's ridiculous how strong I've become and my stamina amazes me. I always knew that I wanted to get into strength training, esp as I age, and CrossFit Salado has hit a grand slam there. And for cardio, I do a 3000' mtn climb as easily as a flight of stairs. Touch football with teens, no problem. It hasn't been a cakewalk, I joined with tendonitis, went thru 2 months feeling like a truck ran over me, struggled thru rotator cuff injuries, and 100F+ summer eve workouts. So glad when they started a 7am bootcamp class, so I could workout b4 work and beat the afternoon heat. This gym and the members are a Godsend blessing. No one cares how old you are, your bodyshape or condition coming in. They DO CARE about how you run the race, to finish strong and ENCOURAGE you on the journey. Its not instant coffee, its showing up when you don't feel like it, but wow, will you feel great in due time and enjoy the benefits of good health. Working out drives your other habits, forces you to figure out nutrition to fuel/heal your body, how important sleep is, and sharpens your work mind & stamina. Can't thank Coach Jeremiah & Jaime enough for stepping out in faith to start this gym...........Jeremiah is a great chiropractor too and worked on my aching joints with his death grip, what a difference. And Coach Reggie, what an amazing motivator and trainer, to keep me from re-injuring myself and helping me rehab smartly. Always smiling & loving on people, so blessed.
