Just left this store. There was a RUDE lady. I wanted to use the restroom after I bought my items and she said I can’t take merchandise in the bathroom. I was just asking how that made sense, because I just bought it. A bag of chips and m&ms. And she told me that it’s policy. So I just asked what that meant, and she got an ATTITUDE with me and told the other employee that I can just go to the bathroom somewhere else.
Her name was Diana.
RUDE!!!

The store is always understaffed and the isles are so full of boxes and carts that it makes using a walker almost impossible. The store is not always clean, they have cardboard and paper towels pressed against leaking refrigerator units and under shelves, at one point they had a bucket of water from a leak coming from the ceiling. The "Assistant Manager" has a horrible attitude and argues with customers over misplaced item's pricing. If this wasn't the only convenient place to go that didn't charge ridiculous prices for simple grocery items I would not shop with them.

Last night, 2/17 at 8:30pm, we went to the Dollar General in Salado for last minute items. The store was so clean, well lit and organized. The young lady who was working was so kind and helpful. Just as we were having an issue w the self checkout she came over immediately and took care of us. She was friendly and patient. Most people you must track down for help but this young lady was amazing. Whomever she was she deserves a raise!

My Mother in-law, Aunt, Daughter & myself went in yesterday. There was a young girl with short curly hair & another lady (older) with a ponytail & tattoos. We had NEVER been in the FM1670 store & we live on FM1670 so we wanted to check it out. We went in I was looking at the clarance toys, then we walked down to the laundry soap section of the store. The older lady came up behind us mumbled "oh its them" walked around to the other side and came back walking down the same aisle we were on and was still mumbling looking at us and was talking about us. My mother in-law was looking to see how her coupons on her phone worked and I was looking on mine to help her. This older ruded lady came back down the aisle we were on and was still mumbling out loud about us. She was behind me and I quot "I should hit her upside the head" We moved so she could walked pass and she had a roll of gift wrapping paper in her hand and (said if I could, I would, but I cant) I look over to my mother in-law and said did she way what I think she just said? My 9 year old daughter said yes mom she said she wanted to hit you upside the head! So we walked down to the end of the aisle and there she was AGAIN! She literally followed us everywher till we left I have NEVER felt more uncomfortable in a store in my life. We honestly thought she was tweeking on drugs because of her behavior or that she Trets syndrome. Bit after we got the front she was totally normal in the front helping other customers.

Here later this tore has been closing at 7.30 8 o'clock store hours say 10 what's going on atheist put a sign up stating they r closing early

I forgot some items from the check out and a young female worker working in the morning of Sunday 5th of March went out into the parking lot to get me and hand me my items an amazing employee for sure! Didn’t get a name sadly but will be back often! Her name is Chloe M. Amazing employee!

I was followed by a employee named chloe ! I would set my items down to go get a item i forgot and she would go behind me and put all my items back . She then said Subtly “you need to leave ma’am before i call the police” not a great experience and was also talking to customers about me. I will never shop here again.

After the tornado hit earlier in the week, I totally forgot about Easter and the two little adorable children who are going to come visit me on that day. I ran out quick to Dollar General and I was so happy they were open I was able to get generic gift bags and stuff them with a really awesome toys and stuffed animals that they just loved and spent hours playing with. Thank you Dollar General for being open on Easter and hooking me up to make those two little adorable children so happy.

Don't be fooled by the entitled jerks with low reviews. This is a general store in a small town. It staffs 2 employees most of the time, which is expected "in these unprecedented trying times" or whatever.The staff is kind. The selection is good. The parking lot is kept quite clean and it's still just a little general store in a small town. Working as intended.

Always told the restrooms don't work. They have two that are gender neutral.
