“I see a lot of people have expressed their displeasure with this store, but I can only speak to my experience. I was looking for a chair leg pad that I had tried to get at Jabo's, (which surprisingly they didn't have) , so they referred me to McDonnell's. I showed them what I was looking for and they took me right to the spot to find it. I know I wouldn't be able to find this part at a Home Depot or Lowes. McDonnell's may be my new go to for hardware. Everyone I spoke to was pleasant and helpful.”

“Based on my visit today I give them five stars! They had a lot of feed and supplies, but I actually stopped for firewood. Which they DID have some! However, I need it to smoke meats so this type of wood wasnt exactly what I wanted for my brisket.The employees were friendly though and went above and beyond to help me out! The pallet of wood in my picture was priced over $200 for the whole thing (I was told that’s the only way to buy it), and the older/brittle logs are priced for $1/log. Unfortunately I don’t have a pick up truck for transport of the pallet, and then my husband told me these were not the logs he wanted anyway. No biggie!Oh! I’ve bought pest spray from here (yellow top, attaches to your hose) and it works miracles. We ultimately ended up going with a pest service though since we were spending alot to keep them from overtaking our house (this year was worse than normal).”
“I don't mind if you make a mistake as a business as long as you make it right and this company did!!! In a very big way!! My 6 year old had a flock of chickens as pets that were killed recently by a dog. She was devastated and I have been very troubled in trying to track down some replacements. I was told by the Granbury location to be at their location at 8am or I would miss the opportunity to get any baby chicks. I took time off from work and showed up in the pouring rain to be there 10 minutes early so as not to miss the opportunity. To my surprise no chicks! Cathy did apologize to me and said they normally don't do this but I would be put on a list and the first call when they come in the next day. Next day came and no call. So next morning I reached out again and to my surprise I was told all the chicks had sold. They apologized again and agreed they had dropped the ball but I would have to wait another week for a new shipment : ( I decided to start calling every Russel's location and drive any distance for my daughter. My 1st call was the Weatherford location, Rock answered and I explained the situation. He offered to call and find me the chicks! I couldn't believe it and in just a few minutes I was contacted by corporate who had located some in Haltom City. Jessica and Cassandra from that location allowed me to pick the breeds and drove them to Granbury so I could pick them up closer to home. I’m so impressed with how these locations all came together to take care of me and make things right for my daughter. They have won my business for life!!!”
“Issac always greets my family with a smile!! He helps us no matter how many questions we have or how long we take. The best thing about him is he is extremely funny and entertaining at the same time. Isaac gives us tips about how to train our dogs while we're reading about which fish we want to buy today. And then he reminds us that we need crickets for our bearded dragon like he remembers everything is customers. He is such an amazing Guy, we look forward to seeing him every time we come!! Thank you Isaac for always helping us welcoming us making us feel more than just like customers. Thank you for being nice to us. Thank you for making us laugh. Thank you for taking care of our needs. SOOO HELPFUL!!I wish I could post photos because I had a broken fountain feature in my backyard that was a waste, an eyesore, and a constant struggle to keep it from being a mosquito breeding ground.One trip here and they had me all set up (for WAY more of an affordable price than I was expecting!) My NEW fresh water pond looks AMAZING!!DEFINITELY will be back!”

“I didnt adopt a dog from this location, I adopted one from an adoption event. One of the girls that I met at the Benbrook location helped me out at the adoption event, helped to view a dog, and I was able to adopt and bring my pup home within minutes Adopt, don't shop!!!”
