Stay away from Y2 Performance & Off-Road/Y2 Racing for exhaust work.I reached out to Daryle about installing CATS and a tune on my Mustang GT. I provided the CATS and clamps that were recommended by Summit. I dropped the car off and paid for the work upfront.I picked the car up 3 days later and after driving it for 2 days, the check engine light came on. Code P2096. I called Daryle, he said bring it back. The 2nd time taking the car back to him, he suggested changing the 02 sensor. I changed the 02 sensor, and within a day the check engine light was back on. Once again, I took the car back to Daryle. He kept the car for 2 days and installed rear O2 spacers thinking this would resolve the CEL. He called and said the car was ready to go. I got 4 miles down the road from his shop and the check engine light came on.I decided to do some research about the P2096 and 1 of the most common causes was an exhaust leak. Curiosity got the best of me and I removed 1 of the lap joint clamps on 1 of the CATS and was floored at what I found. The mid pipe (off-road connector) was cut too short and a gap was exposed. It appeared the clamp was used to fill the gap. This was the cause of the exhaust leak and CEL. It was incredibly obvious by looking at the inside of the joint clamp. It was black and evidence of moisture or condensation. There was very little, if any, lapping. I contacted Daryle and he offered to pick the car up and fix the mistake. At this point, I didn’t feel comfortable taking the car back to Y2 for a 4th time. What I found should’ve been found the first 2 times I took the car back after the “install”. It was a very amateur/sloppy job. He refunded me for the labor cost, but I’m left with the expense of taking it to a muffler shop to have it all welded or possibly replacing a set of connector pipes.

Owner Darryl is a cheat, will steal your parts and install used parts. Charged $25k for new motor build and looked like junkyard motor. Took over a year to get done.

Y2 helped me out in a pinch when my son's car was out of commission. Great and fast service. Highly recommend for rear end builds and will use them again for any performance upgrades in the future

This by far is the worst performance shop in DFW. Their employees purloin parts, and none of these workers are certified by ASE standards. These guys blew my F150 up after keeping it 6+ months and the owner Daryle could not give me an exact explanation, as to what happened because he doesn't verify his employees' quality of work. Evidently the standards for hiring automobile technicians (mechanics) have loosened, or are no longer existent, for this company, given how Y2 desperately needs employees. The company Facebook page has a job posting, every other week, due to a lack, of employee retention.

This shop has had my blue Mach I mustang since January 27,2019. It was a simple disassembly and reassembly of an Teksid block. Brandon Carothers is the one who accepted this job, when he used to be the manager, but Daryle the owner was not happy, and Brandon left the shop after my car arrived. Daryle pushed the car to the back of the shop where it sat for 5 months with all brand new parts waiting to be installed. He insisted that the workload was too much and that his shop doesn't typically perform the work I asked for. He also claimed business was heavier than usual, although my car had been sitting for months, while he completed other large builds, such as supercharger installs and complete engine builds. My brand new Mac X pipe was lost although I dropped it off with the car in January. My brand new ford clutch kit that they signed for and received, from American Muscle, on 2/27/19, was not installed, although they read my FB message, 2 days before, which advised them of this part being delivered. As time passed, I questioned Daryle often regarding my job status, and he was typically uninformed and not interested, with regards to a car that's been sitting for 7 months. Long story short, the negligent supervision and quality of work, didn't prove itself, until 11/2/2019, which is when Daryle told me the car was complete and ready. I drove the car 15 miles, from his shop, and overheating began to occur. Daryle, towed the car and claimed the new water pump was not rotating correctly, so they replaced it. I received the car back 7 days later, and it continued to surpass 230 degrees while idling, so I contacted Daryle again. This time he alleged that heater core was leaking and they'd be able to loop it out, so that it won't affect the cooling system. This didn't solve the problem either, so Daryle assigned of his more "skilled" workers, on this job, in April of 2020. Two weeks after this employee replaced the transmission, and while the car was still in his possession at Y2, the engine developed a serious ROD KNOCK. On a phonecall, this employee stated he felt responsible for the knock, since it occurred while in his possession (Made sense as the car was in and out of shop since 11/2019, but no knock until he works on it 4/2020). Daryle, at this point, decided to be the boss again and took back over this now 22 month old job. After numerous visits, agency complaints and now a pending case with his funding partner Snap Finance, due to non-product delivery, after being paid the invoice amount, Daryle still continues to use several different excuses. I've heard, "We typically don't bid on jobs like this", "We are swamped with work" and more recently, "COVID-19 has taken two of my employees". We have had 6 different "completion dates", ranging from 9/30/2020 to the most recent being this Saturday, 12/4/2020. Daryle Eagle also lied about using Wells Racing, in Midlothian, as a machine shop, when I questioned who would be machining the heads that were just freshly built, by the reputable KPE Racing. On 8/14, Daryle sent a message stating the progress had to halt because the MACHINE SHOP owner closed the shop, due to COVID-19. I spoke with the shopowner, on 9/14/20, and he confirmed that they NEVER CLOSED. Daryle then, lied again and claimed they sent my engine elsewhere (undisclosed this time), although I have the message still, where he stated Wells Racing was their machine shop. I'd advise anyone, with a Ford mustang, to stay AWAY from Y2PERFORMANCE. Go to HP Racing, Gearheads, Precision Mustang or any of the other more competent shops in DFW. I ended up stuck, with Y2PERFORMANCE since they destroyed my engine, and the fact that I'd be upside down, by having another go over someone else's work. One thing for sure is, when I do receive the car back this Saturday it is supposed, to be a full rebuilt engine, and with a new heater core installed. With the way this job has went, I still plan to have the engine inspected, by one

Friend of a Friend recommended this shop while i was traveling through Dallas on my way to the east coast. Not only did they help me out with my Porsche Cayenne issue, they were all super kind and bent over backwards to do so. They gave me a little tour of their shop and they had some AMAZING builds. After talking with them, learning about their builds from friends, and seeing their shop, theres no other place to take your mustang if you want to go fast. Great people, even better shop. 10/10 recommend.

Daryl has been nothing but kind and understanding to my situation, he got the job done when ALL others told me no! He wrestled with my warranty company for 2 months till they broke, I now have a brand new engine in my Camaro SS, and it runs tighter and is way more responsive than the stock LS3 it had in it. Y2Performance did the job they promised me, even though the Damn warranty company short changed them almost 2 grand. THANK YOU DARRYL!

Daniel Raff from Pro Tree has never had any business or personal dealings with Y2 Performance. Nor did he leave a negative review, we have spoken about this and it is not his.
