I enjoy shopping here. They have year-round events for learning about your garden. I religiously use the coupons I receive in the mail, and I like that there are no restrictions on how I can use them. They have an information center that has article and notes with really hood tips on how to manage your garden and lawn. Very knowledgeable staff. Burton is super knowledgeable and has always helped me no matter what questions I have.
Notable: If you have a plant issue and bring a picture or sample of the plant, they can actually suggest ways to help your plant.
Membership: Gets you 10% off each time you shop. To get it, you must spend I believe $350 at a go or over 3 months period. You just have to bring all the receipt totally $350 if you don't spend that at a go.
Bulk: I buy my bulk soil here by the trailer load. They sell quarter, half, or a full load. I found it's cheaper to fill or top up my raised beds this way.

Uneducated staff that provides misinformation and their prices are inflated as compared to other garden centers around DFW.

Elliot was very helpful and explaining the plants and how to take care of them how much slide and water they need. Gracie also was helpful and walk me around and showing me very selections that I can possibly mix together for my outdoors selection.

At first everything seems amazing at this nursery - loads of employees everyone donning bright yellow shirts and a chipper attitude. Selection of trees, shrubs, flowers, etc is decent. The place is pretty massive. But that’s where the facade of a good nursery ends. The warranty and return policy is horrendous, especially since everything is overpriced. We are much better off price wise shopping at Green Acres or Calloways for an amazing return policy and good customer service.

April 24, 2024--My wife and I decided to go to Covington's Nursery. I had been to Covington's several time previously and loved the multitude of selections and the friendly advice which Employees were more than able to give. This time, however, was a bit different. My wife is 86 and I am 85--both rather wobbly on our legs. I had a wheelchair for my wife. When we entered the Lane, to our surprise, Covington's had created a large parking area on the south side of the entry lane. I chose a space and parked and got out my wife's chair. I had called the day previously to inquire about wild flower seed which I wanted to plant along the frontage of our house/street. Assured that these were available, I wheeled us into the main building and we were shown the display of wildflower seed. We soon had chosen what we needed. I also needed a couple more Dwarf Yaupon plants as foundation plantings. It was all downhill to the area where these plants were located. I am sure that the wife enjoyed the race downhill! We located what I needed and just as I was going to leave the wife in order to find a cart for the plants--a gentleman came along with a cart and asked if we needed one. I thought that he was a shopper who no longer needed his cart--turns out he was an Employee. He helped with the selection of the plants (which were half-price no less), placed them onto the cart and followed us to the kiosk to check out. When I had paid, I told the clerk that I would go to fetch our car from the now distant parking area. By the time I had returned in the car, an employee had wheeled my wife to where I came to park--then returned to bring our plants and helped me to load them into the car--bringing with him a protective sheet of plastic. My wife and I are not of any noble descent but the Staff of Covington's certainly make us feel like royalty! Thank you, Covington's for being available and for having such well-trained, helpful and friendly Staff! I would never think of going elsewhere--even though we must drive from Garland to the Hwy 66 and 190 area.

Great prices. Beautiful plants and employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. It is far for me, I have plenty of options 5 minutes away. The 35 minutes drive is really worth.
