I have been a member of the Chasco YMCA for over 20 years. My daughter was the first kid to have a swim party on the indoor water park almost 15/16 years ago. Still top-notch, offering an array of equipment, facility, programming, and community you can not get anywhere else for a reasonable price. Will be a lifelong supporter.

Very family oriented, clean & organized. They offer a variation of activities/classes for children, teens, and adults. Staff is usually helpful. However, lots of traffic & class sizes may be larger.

Their Christmas dance performance was awesome! You can really tell that the dance instructor loves to teach and be with the students.

Initially I was not going to leave a review because I trusted the Leadership was going to handle this triggering traumatizing situation. This is the email I left along with a recorded memo stating evidence of their front desk employee Angela at the CHILDRENS preschool learning center speaking to me extremely rudely & pushing me in the hallway with my child in hand nearly knocking me over. I was told an investigation would be launched although I have a very clear recording of Angela apologizing for pushing me etc because I confronted her after I had got my child situated in class. Angelas rudeness & aggression towards me This seems racially motivated & lack of action & accountability from administrators seems that way as well. I showed up to drop my child off only to see she is still gainfully employed after this egregious incident. Here is my email to Leadership : I am writing this email in complaint of what occurred when I came into the office to drop my son off on Thursday. I walked into the lobby area, and I was immediately subjected to Angela speaking to me very abrasively, rudely, and abruptly asking did I email and I wasn't certain she was speaking to me at first because it was such a random question.I had no clue what she was referencing to. I turned, and I looked back to see if she was speaking to me and I asked if she talking to me she says yes did you email did you call? I went on to say what are you talking about. Then she went to continue responding very abrasively and rudely asking me did you email or call because you're coming in past time for drop off...drop off time is 9:30. I was very taken back by this, and did not quite know how to respond being that I speak to her every day with respect, and I say hello and that's not what I was met with. this is supposed to be a Christian-based organization and the fact that I see a lot of the staff every day I speak to all of them and it's almost like an extended family. They were so much better way she could have a dressed me, and especially being a parent that she is familiar with.Being that she was being completely disrespectful to me as a parent I dismissed her comments asking her was Melissa around and I continued towards Melissa's office to see if she was available. At that point there was no point of me communicating with someone who does not show proper communication towards others. She yelled out, ma'am, ma'am, ma'am you can't go there you can't go to there. I continue to walk to Melissa's office. I saw she was not there so I continue down the hallway and she says you can't leave your son here and where are you going? I ignored her and continue down the hallway as I continue down the hallway. She steps in front of me bumped into me right in front of my son's classroom and pushed her way in front of me and I explain to her. Why are you being so rude and aggressive, you almost knocked me over and during this time I had my son in my hands.I walked into the classroom, taken back and shot by what she had just done, and I said goodbye to my son wished him a blessed day, and I continued out toward the front doors. At this time I was unaware Melissa's office had changed to the very back of the facility due to the renovations that are occurring. This is information that I found out the following day when I was able to speak with Melissa regarding what had happened. And from my understanding the way it was explained as though I was the aggressor although I was completely violated, harassed and also assaulted by your worker Angela. I also discussed with Melissa this is not the first time that she's been rude but I was completely shocked about her basically assaulting me in the hallway, pushing me to get to Melissa's office, because she assumed that's where I was headed and wanted to get there prior to me. At this time when she did push me, there was no one else in the hallway. I was holding my son, and she could've walked around me, so it was a very purposeful, and

I've always enjoyed my experience at the Y except for what I saw today. I'm leaving a 2 star based on what I witnessed today. I overheard a conversation of one of the child watch workers when I was approaching to pick up my child. I wish I knew the woman's name who works in child watch but she is one of the newer employees works evenings wears glasses & has braids. I thought she was nice until I witnessed her speaking loudly to a parent about her son wining about snacks. The woman acted like it was the end of the world scolding the child in front of the parent & complaining about his behavior for the whole world to hear. First of all very unprofessional & it made me uncomfortable thinking I leave my child with her whenever I work out. If you're going to complain about a child bumping a toy & pouting find a new job. No parent wants to be publicly embarrassed or a child shamed in front of everyone. I thought they screened better when hiring. She could have spoke respectfully & pulled the parent privately to the side for discussion. Geeeez where do they find these people they hire. No manners etiquette or respect. She needs to scold herself first not the child.
