I took an Intro to Fly Fishing course here and it was amazing! Clint and Mason taught the class and made it a lot of fun. I bought some gear on lunch break, and Mason had it rigged up for me before the end of class. Fantastic shop and experience!

I went to living waters for fly fishing instruction. Clint was my instructor. He was very thorough, very professional and very knowledgeable. We spoke about the theory of fly fishing, we practiced casting, stripping and fishing practices. Clint was able to relate casting to a sport I know well, golf and the theory made sense immediately. I would thoroughly recommend Clint at Living Waters. If you need anything fly fishing related, he's your guy. Excellent.

What a treat this shop is! So cute and cozy, and so much incredible fishing stuff! Great quality and *extremely* knowledgable yet welcoming to those of us that are very new to fly fishing. Melody was a joy to chat with and helped us find the perfect flys that we needed. Will absolutely be coming back and highly recommend to all levels of anglers!

I love this shop. They hit everything on the head for what you need to successfully fly fish the state of Texas, which I can’t say the same of many other places that carry fly fishing products. The staff is about is friendly as it gets, and I love the dedication and outreach to the community. Lastly, I appreciate the Christian founding, which makes supporting a small business even better. Thanks for being wonderful stewards of the sport!

Living Waters has so much to offer. They have tons of community events, more fly fishing products than Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop (by a long shot), and the staff is incredible. They aren't just a store, each staff member is living their passions and Chris has actually invented several flies that are used all over the country for targeting all kinds of different species of fish. This is a special place and you will learn something new every time you come in to the store.

I cannot say enough about this shop. My son, 13, and I are new to fly fishing. We have been in several times to get new flies and tips. Each time, the staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and more than willing to help us newbies out. They make us feel comfortable even though we're rookies. There's no pressure to buy something. We booked a half day wade trip on the San Gabe and Jim more than exceeded our expectations! He was patient with us, taught us so much more than we had in the big box company's intro class, and put us - actually my boy more - on a bunch of fish. Who knew we had such great water so close. You can tell the staff and ownership truly love what they do as it shows in their kindness and willingness to help. I have since told all those I know that fish traditionally about fly fishing and recommend Living Waters. Thanks for all you do for the community!

This is my favorite shop in Texas. I try to stop in every time I am in the area. They have the best materials selection for tying, good rod/reel selection at varying price ranges, and stay updated with the best gear on the market. Their fly selection is specifically catered to fishing central Texas featuring patterns from local tyers. Staff is helpful and welcoming to anglers of all levels of experience. If you're in the market for anything fly fishing related, go to Living Waters and support a family-owned shop. If you live out of town, make a day of it and hit some of the local creeks nearby. Highly recommend.
