My bird (Green Cheek Conure) got a rope all wrapped around his neck, and I rushed him there when I realized it was too hard and dangerous for me to remove. I rushed in the door and within 30 seconds he was handed off and into the back. Before I could finish giving his and my info, he was back out and just fine. It was super scary but without hesitation they rushed him back and saved him. I am super grateful. They didn’t even charge me, although I know that’s not the norm! I’m so happy they were nearby and ready to jump into action.

Our pet was taking really good care during the emergency visit. We appreciate their fast response to our pet’s injuries (she was attacked by a pitbull in our neighborhood) and provided resources and support afterwards.

I breathe a sigh of relief as my cat has come home healthy, ripped from the jaws of impending doom. At 2am on a Sunday, we called and spoke to a calming and reassuring voice. We brought our cat in immediately and everything moved quickly, but efficiently — the way it should be. Everything was clearly explained to us and we consented to treatment, which began immediately. (This was a true emergency).During the 2-day inpatient healing process, we were able to visit with our pet! We just had to call ahead first! That’s it! THAT was wonderful for peace of mind, both for us and our pet. Everyone from top to bottom was wonderful, patient, professional, and qualified. And now, our pet is home and his demeanor is simply saying “thank you”. And so, all we can do is extend that same gratitude to Heart of Texas. I hope y’all never have to go there, but if you do, you’re in safe hands.

The vet and staff were all super friendly and caring when we had to take our Pyrenees/Shepherd in for an emergency visit. He's a big (120lb), energetic pup and they handled him no problem.

Very disappointed in the level of care given to my dog. They recommended putting him down or surgery. Took him to his regular vet and they are treating him with anti-inflammatory medication.

Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center took excellent care of me and my Labrador in severe crisis. They were dedicated to finding the cause and communicated in ways I could understand what was going on. The vet, the techs, and the front office staff were friendly in what is a very stressful environment (we there for an overnight ER visit). All of them run the gamut of emotions with clients all night -- from animals that survive, those that can't, those that don't, and those whose finances make them make hard decisions. It's a lot just professionally. To be able to communicate clearly and with care with each client, going room to room and encountering new situations and people and pets in likely one of the worst moments of their lives. My Lab survived thank goodness but I believe I would feel the same even with a different outcome. They are pros who you want fighting with you for your pet.

They took in my dog Zack, who was 120lbs, paralyzed from being hit by a car. The care was exceptional. However upon discharge to home/hospice terminally ill, they refused to budge on their policy and removed the catheter, making it very hard for me to care for him since he was so big and I was also ran over and had a broken foot. This made an incredibly hard situation even harder. They should be more flexible with care. Feel free to contact me heart of Texas if you want to talk.

I took my dog in for what I considered to be an emergency, and the entire staff was incredible. They were the only hospital with the shortest wait time, the receptionists, Maxwell the vet tech was amazing, and Dr. Coulter was the best vet I’ve ever seen. They worked with me to lower the price of things, making an overwhelming situation very manageable. Thank you so much!

I went in with my Roxy cause she was having a hard time breathing. They took her straight back and was given oxygen. Shortly after the tech came in and let me know what was happening and what my options were. I knew she was in good hands. She received all the necessary treatment and came home the next day. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. With medication and monitoring I'm sure I can give her a comfortable life. Roxy is here today cause they cared for her.

Either they're incompetent or scanners. My pup's ankle was swollen, so I brought her here, and they tried to rush me into a $5k loan for surgery! Luckily, the surgeon was out that day. The swelling went down on its own, it was just sprained.
