After going through a couple of other training programs, I was convinced that we were never going to be able to get our dog to stop jumping up on people. But Andrew was able to help us fix that problem, in addition to several others, quickly and easily. Our dog is like a new well behaved and enjoyable pet! Andrew is amazing with dogs and great with people too. I am so glad that we signed up with Dog Savvy! Thank you, Andrew!

First things first - I would highly recommend Dog Savvy. We had spent a lot of money on traditional obedience training that really didn’t change her behavior. She still got overexcited when meeting guests, didn’t listen when we asked her to do things, jumped all over everyone. It was really stressful and frustrating to live with her on a daily basis, especially since we’d spent so much money already. After starting the THRIVE program, we noticed immediate changes in her attitude and behavior. Literally a few days in and we felt like she was a totally different dog. Calmer, more attentive and visibly less tense and hectic.Today is a whole new life. She listens, she’s easy going, she is able to relax with our guests and doesn’t have embarrassing behavior. When she’s off-leash she has an incredible return and all of this was refreshingly simple and easy for us to do even with our busy schedules.5 stars for Dog Savvy!!!

We took a 15 month old great dane in as a rescue, and upon arrival she was a ball of nerves. She literally trotted around our house in a panic continuously! She would panic if she wasn’t in the exact same space as my husband, and was suffering from severe separation anxiety. She swung her back end into us, our walls, and our sofa, with her size, this is not easy to deal with. She whined, cried, and barked at absolutely everything. Her world was in total turmoil. It was apparent that she was struggling with anxiety, and she needed help. We needed help. Our once calm and peaceful household was turned upside down. We were looking for something different than conventional training, as we could see her anxiety was the root of the issues we were experiencing, and that needed to be dealt with, not masked. Thankfully we were sent to Andrew and Brittany by a referral. After our very first session , we could see a huge difference. By the second lesson she was able to do so much learning as her anxiety was already substantially less. After each lesson, we could see so much improvement, even with things we didn’t do direct training to stop. The calming nature of the training was carrying over into many aspects of our lives. We were planning a cross country RV trip just 4 short months after we started working with dog savvy. We were able to take her with, and she could go out and about with us on our vacation! She is a totally different dog than the one we took in! I have no doubt in my mind that this wouldn’t have been possible without Andrew and Britany. If you’re looking for a amazing and qualified trainers, look no further. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Andrew and Brittany!

Dog Savvy works miracles! Bosco’s behavior got him kicked out of puppy grooming, Zoom puppy training, Zoom private classes, puppy daycare, even the vet!! Tranquilizers and rehoming were suggested. I’d almost given up but then I found Dog Savvy. They teach behavior, not tricks. Bosco’s a whole new dog!!

Dog Savvy has made a huge impact on my pet and myself. Before Dog Savvy my sweet girl would jump on others which was not always welcomed. Under the training direction she was quickly making the adjustment to jump but not touch in someone’s personal space to no jumping at all.For my friends and family to visit and enjoy my girl without the unwanted excited jumping is a win for all of us. She gets much more attention in her more relaxed state and she is loving that!I have been a pet owner my entire life and Dog Savvy has taught me so much about dogs I never knew. Without a doubt all my pets are benefiting from the training with Dog Savvy. Grateful to have found them!

A few months ago, our family welcomed a tiny 8-week-old mini-dachshund named Oliver into our lives. Ollie is very adorable and has an enormous personality, however, he came from a large litter and exhibited excessive mouthing, restlessness, and boundless energy. While we anticipated some puppy challenges, Ollie's behavior was incredibly overwhelming, and prevented us from having him in the same room as our 8-year-old son for too long, and not at all with our 2.5-year-old Lab/Shepard mix. Feeling frustrated and at a loss on what to do, we reached out for help when he was 11 weeks old.Through the magic of Google, we discovered Andrew and Brittney from Dog Savvy, and their impact was immediate. During the initial call, Andrew's insightful questions about both dogs and our family dynamics impressed us. He took the time to grasp the nuances of each dog's personality, and within a week of starting private lessons in our home, we began witnessing positive changes. Andrew's ability to explain complex behavioral concepts in a relatable manner made the training not just effective but enjoyable.A few weeks into private training, we took a good hard look at our progress, chaotic schedules, and summer break from school and decided to go all-in and enroll now 17-week-old Ollie in Dog Savvy’s 5-week board and train program. Board and Train is a game-changer, we were making steady progress during private lessons, but this put us into hyper-speed. While Ollie was with Dog Savvy, and we were able to focus on doing the same training work with our other dog in preparation for his return. The communication during this period was outstanding. We received photo and video updates along with explanations of their training methods. Andrew and Brittney not only transformed Ollie but also educated us on how to support his progress. His interactions with other dogs improved, he learned to relax in new situations, and his leash manners became impeccable. We’ve had him back home for a few weeks, and now Ollie is a well-adjusted and confident puppy. The transformation has been magical, he chills out, plays nice with and without us, and snuggles up on the couch like a boss. Before training, he wouldn’t even let us near him without biting or being on edge. Andrew and Brittney's training, patience, and understanding were integral to this change. I’m convinced they have super powers. In addition to all the positives we’ve seen in Ollie’s development, the training we received has been life changing. We now confidently read and understand both of our dogs' behaviors and can effectively support them. Dog Savvy's approach goes beyond training dogs; it empowers dog parents.Dog Savvy has been a lifesaver for our spirited puppy. Ollie’s transformation from a chaotic ball of energy to a well-mannered little charmer is a testament to Andrew and Brittney's expertise. Their personalized approach, clear communication, and dedication has been amazing. We're immensely grateful for the positive impact they've had on Ollie and our whole family.

I have a golden retriever named Maisy, and originally reached out to Andrew and Brittany having already undergone some training but not really seeing results. Maisy had issues with mouthiness, digging, restlessness, counter-surfing…you name it! The biggest concern was the mouthiness & the “oh, she’s a puppy” and “she’ll grow out of it” response I was getting from other trainers wasn’t acceptable because it was really damaging to our relationship! I was frustrated because I felt like I tried everything and didn’t see improvement, and all I wanted was to sit on the couch with Maisy and well, have my golden be a golden, haha! I started with one-on-one training until Andrew suggested that Maisy really needed full attention/training (which was hard with my work schedule) & so when she was about 9-10 months, we all decided to put her through their board and train program! Her being my baby and best friend I was really hesitant, but Brittany and Andrew did such a great job staying connected— sharing videos, photos, her progress, and helped me prepare for her return back home! She’s been out of training now for a little over 3 months and is doing great. Training is something that never stops, and we still have things to work on, but overall Maisy is a calmer, happier dog and me too! It makes such a difference when you can actually enjoy each other rather than constantly feel frustrated and tense and life lately has been so great! The picture attached is from the day I brought her home from B&T and the fact that she could just sit with me calmly in the yard without digging, barking or zooming around was a HUGE WIN! I am forever grateful to Andrew and Brittany & would never have the knowledge I do now if I hadn’t found Dog Savy! Their approach actually works because they look at how the dogs are emotionally feeling/responding to things rather than just teaching commands/obedience training! Although they do that too!

Andrew and Brittany are some of the best dog trainers in the business. My dog and I have been working with them for almost 5 months now and have seen some amazing results (i.e. I can now call my dog back to me outside, off-leash, with distractions)!I first approached Andrew because my pup struggles with reactivity, especially on leash. Because of her breed I wanted to make sure this issue was a resolved in order to be a better pittie representative and to give her a better quality of life. Andrew and Brittany’s style of training is unlike any more traditional method, but it is so much EASIER and more EFFECTIVE. My dog’s behavior has shifted at a core level. She is more calm, responsive, and relaxed then she was when we first started. Not to mention, we don’t actively “train” for more than 30 minutes a day. I highly recommend Dog Savvy to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog trainer who not only knows their stuff, but who can train you to help your dog shift behaviors at a core level. Not only that, but Brittany and Andrew are kind, compassionate people and they truly love what they do!

We have LOVED working with Brittany and Andrew! They are amazing dog trainers - they really know their stuff! We have loved that they focus on long lasting emotional changes instead of just trying to quickly correct a behavior. They are so reliable and make themselves available in between lessons and do a wonderful job helping us maximize our budget for training. Highly recommend them!

This trainer has a zero tolerance policy for rescheduling due to illness during COVID, this is not communicated on their website or during the onboarding process. If you fall ill and have to quarantine + move your appointment they will terminate their contract with you.Update: DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS TRAINER! The owner requested I take this review down. I asked if they were changing or updating this policy and they stated they are not. They proceeded to send me insulting texts because of posting honest feedback around their cancelation policy. Their response was wildly unprofessional and disgusting.

Andrew and Brittany are amazing at what they do. Andrew has helped us with our dog, Posey, who was reactive to just about anything. From shadows, to reflections, to cars, to people, she always had an opinion. We are still in the midsts of training but are seeing fundamental changes in how she processes stimuli. She still reacts to many things but, what used to take her 5-20 minutes to calm down from, now takes her a minute or two. She used to spend most of the day awake, pacing, and reacting to sounds, but is now able to relax and sleep for the majority of the day spare a few barks. They target the emotions behind the behaviors dogs exhibit which makes for a highly effective and unique training experience. After a year of “traditional” training showed no results, we are so grateful for the progress Andrew and Brittany have helped us make.

We hired Brittany and Andrew because our older dog was getting aggressive. During the first visit, the dog wanted to eat Andrew. During the second visit, the dog was a lot more chill. By the third visit the dog was paying very little attention to Andrew except as a source of treats. They have some very unusual homework to do with the dog. It's all about changing the dog's attitude. If you don't change the attitude you have to always be worried about Bad Behavior breakthroughs. The first exercise was showing the dog that chilling out is an option.

Looking for AWESOME and EFFECTIVE dog training? Look no more. I can’t even begin to say how incredibly wonderful Brittany & Andrew are, and the training support they give is unparalleled. No question goes unanswered. Their training program is based upon free behavior and works miracles. Their knowledge of dogs and their behaviors is mind-blowing. Never in a million years would I have thought training my dog could be so laid back and rewarding for my dog and me.Our Story:I rescued a large puppy and knew if I didn’t train this puppy, I knew we were headed to disaster, and he’d take over the house and run wild. I dreaded “obedience” training; to me, that equals kills a dog’s spirit to get him to have good behavior. After some Google searches, Dog Savvy Training + Development popped up. I started reviewing their website and found something very different in their training program and different from traditional training. After talking to Brittany & Andrew for 10 minutes, I knew their training program offered exactly what I was looking for and would allow mutual companionship to grow between my dog and me. The training wasn’t all about training my dog; it also teaches me to be a good dog mom.We started training on December 4th, 2020 and saw immediate improvements, but what showed me this training method works is when my kids went to their dads for Christmas and were gone 10 days. When they got back, they kept saying, “Mom, Iggy is a whole new dog.” His out of control behavior was no more; he was more relaxed and cooperative.

In January 2021 we put our 1 year old Border Collie, Keen into the 6 week Board and Train program. Keen is a complicated dog, to say the least. We had tried pretty much everything since he was 2 months old, and still Keen was full of fear and anxiety. Britt and Andrew did a FANTASTIC job with his difficult case. Before we couldn’t trust him around children, as he had nipped a little boy before, and we were expecting our first child in just 2 months…he came home with not only the ability to deal with kids, but to enjoy them. There are countless other wonderful things he learned with Dog Savvy (not to mention a HUGE change in reactivity to sights, sounds, people, other dogs), but that one gave me hope for a sweet little friendship my son could one day have with his dog. We can’t recommend Dog Savvy enough, and the investment in your dogs well being is truly an investment in your own. Don’t settle for a dog that you have to maneuver around because of their struggles—HELP them, they need you to do that for them! And Britt and Andrew are there to teach you how.

I wanted to take a moment to share our experience with Dog Savvy Training and Development. We have 2 rescue dogs, 1 that was brand new to us and we were having a significant amount of leash aggression with our first dog. This lead to behaviors in our new dog and walking our dogs became a nightmare. This was our number one priority--to be able to walk our dogs and be out in public and not struggle, be nervous, embarrassed, etc. We did lots of searching and lots of talking to friends. We were lead to Dog Savvy and have had the most positive experience from the first click on the website to the current/ongoing ability to be involved in their community of support and training. Brittany and Andrew are a dynamic duo with dog training and I can not recommend them highly enough. It started with a visit to our home to meet our dogs where we learned we had 2 very different dogs with very different energy and responses to situations. Over time, we boarded one dog (Mr. HIGH ENERGY) for training while working with the more aggressive one at home using the Dog Savvy training videos and community Facebook support. We were amazed at the results we were getting. During the boarding period, we often met for training with both dogs. I think the key to this whole program is the way Andrew and Brittany really get to know the dogs AND the people living with them. Many things have improved--even things that were lower on our list! But, #1--we can now walk our dogs and take them to new settings with little to no issues at all. In fact, just this past weekend, we stood talking to a neighbor who had her dog with her and we had a 10 minute conversation with NO ISSUES of aggression, nervousness or embarrassment!
