**LONG REVIEW**
I do not recommend bringing your vehicle here unless you want ongoing, unnecessary issues. Ironically, my experience with this shop mirrors some of the negative reviews I’ve read since dealing with them.
After my vehicle was hit, I filed a claim with the at-fault driver’s insurance and was provided with a list of approved repair shops. I selected Haywood Autocrafters and took photos of my vehicle before leaving it with them on 12/02/24. On 12/10/24, I was informed that the car was ready for pickup. However, upon inspection, I noticed scratches and paint chips that were not there before.
When I brought this to the shop’s attention, the employees, Meredith and Jacob, were rude and dismissive. They denied any responsibility, claiming the shop did not cause the damage. Instead of offering a solution, they deflected, suggesting prior work on the car should have been disclosed to me when I purchased it. When I asked for photos of the vehicle upon drop-off, they provided images showing what appeared to be a glare or sun reflection, not damage. Despite this, they still refused to take accountability. Jacob claimed that if the paint chipped during the bonding process, it was not their fault.
After a few minutes of unproductive discussion, during which Meredith repeatedly interrupted me, I contacted the insurance company. Meredith followed up with the insurer, insisting the damage was pre-existing and providing their “proof.” I escalated the claim with the insurance company, submitted all photos, and decided to take the vehicle home after they advised I could.
While retrieving my car, I noticed additional issues: a broken key ring and an unfinished interior panel on the rear dash. Once again, Jacob denied responsibility, stating, “We did not do that.” I immediately reported these issues to the insurance company.
The next day, the insurer confirmed that the chipped paint and other damage were not present when I brought the vehicle in and directed Haywood Autocrafters to fix it. I returned the car on 12/13/24, and on 12/16/24, the shop informed me it was ready. Unable to pick it up until 12/17, I found additional damage to the trunk and hood on 12/18/24.
I brought the car back on 12/20/24, as instructed, for repairs they said would take 30 minutes. After 15 minutes, they informed me that while some damage could be removed, other areas might not have been caused by them. When I asked for photos documenting the car’s condition at drop-off, they could not provide any showing the damage I brought I pointed out, claiming their photos were taken at a “bad angle”. Frustrated, I decided to just leave, but did let them know I would to contact the insurance company again.
On 12/24, Christmas Eve, I received a voicemail from Autocrafters regarding a prepaid amount I had received for repairs, which they stated needed to be paid to the shop. I immediately contacted the insurance company, sent the requested photos of the new damage, and informed them of Autocrafters’ request despite unresolved damage. The insurer assured me they would reach out to the shop.
While awaiting responses from both my attorney and the insurance company, Autocrafters left voicemails and sent an email accusing me of theft of services and threatening legal action if I didn’t respond by 01/02/25.
Rather than addressing the issues caused by their employees, Autocrafters has resorted to threats and deflection. This behavior is absurd and unprofessional. I would never recommend this business to anyone. Unfortunately, my experience aligns with some of the negative reviews others have posted. This ordeal has caused undue stress, and still I have no fix for the damage they have caused.

The staff is very knowledgeable and truly helpful. They did everything they said they would do within the time requested,
Hard to find excellent service like this nowadays!

Oh man this place is the best. Excellent and personable service, much better than the larger chain collision repair in the area. They fixed all the hail damage ahead of schedule and when I discovered a slight issue months later they took care of it right away. I highly recommend.

What an awesome business. The customer service was out of this world. They were polite and timely. From drop off to pick up I was 100 % informed of my car’s status and when it would be complete. The repair was done perfectly and at a completely fair price. I will never take a repair job anywhere else in ATX area. These professionals understand how to make customers feel at ease and at a bargain price. In short- Woot Woot I found the best in the area.

I had 2 cars hail damaged from the September hail storm last year. I waited to get repairs due to the wait list and the increased prices on rental cars and everything else. I've had a great experience on my 1st car with hail damage and just putting in my second car. Jacob and team did a great job. Kept me posted along the way and helped with out with car rental when the repairs took a bit longer than expected. I would definitely recommend these guys! Thanks again.

Haywood's did amazing rework on my rear-end following a collision. The new paint and repair looks beautiful. Will definitely be returning for hail repair and bodykit add-ons

I took my car in for hail damage happened in September, and fast forward 7+months they still didn’t finish because my window seal is missing. Every time we asked for an update it’s “oh it will be another couple weeks, definitely be ready by November/December/Jan/March…” filed complaints with insurance, pursuing legal action, and going to another auto shop for re-fix. Definitely do not recommend and will not bring business back again.
