I've been sewing for over 50 years, embroidering over 30, etc. Austin Sewing offers the best customer customer service I have ever experienced. They carry a great selection of machines, fabrics, threads, notions, etc. And best of all, their repair department doesn't seem to overprice the repairs and still offer the best turn around service I have ever experienced. It took me many years to find a sewing machine shop that treats their customers like an old friend and always welcomes and answers questions, anyone has.

Austin Sewing Machines is a store for folks with a great handle on sewing and all the things attached. They have top-of-the-line machines that can go for thousands of dollars. They have fabric, but I found that they were all about $12 a yard. There were no sales here even with the 25% discount for the weekend you'd be much better off at a place like Joannes or Hobby Lobby. There are a lot of threads but again you can find them cheaper elsewhere. Don't let this get you down. If you're more of a pro at sewing this store is for you. Parking can be hard as it shares the lot with the rest of the strip mall and a church.

Mike was very knowledgeable about sewing machines, after I mentioned needing a machine for auto upholstery, explained everything on the machine and what it is for, explained maintenance, so I bought a new Juki, highly recommend Austin Sewing Machine.Rick

I've done it all here now! Shopping is a wonderful experience, they have items that most sewing places lack. The fabric selection is outstanding and we always find something to take home. I have had one of my machines repaired here and the estimated wait was exactly as they stated, and they did a great job fixing my machine and in a very timely matter. I've also purchased a machine here as of today and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and I was told everything about my machine before I got it and made sure it was the right fit for me. The staff are the friendliest. Love this place, will never go anywhere else!

I went looking for the the Seam Giude Setter Tool, plus refill packs. I know that I have purchased them at Austin Sewing Machines & Sew Much More, but I couldn't find them at either location. I really want to purchase them locally, but I might have to order them online, instead.

My 12 year old embroidery/sewing machine began acting up more than usual. It was time for maintenance service anyway, so I reached out to the other store I purchased this machine from. I could bring it in and then it would sit for 4-6 weeks before they could look at it. I asked If I could make a reservation to bring it in in 4-6 weeks and was told no.A quick google search brought me to Austin Sewing Machines. I called them about service, and guess what, they gave me a reservation to bring in the machine in 4 weeks. Well how about that!?The cleaning/maintenance price was very fair. They had the machine for about 3 weeks and called to let me know when it was ready. They told me step by step what they had done and what was replaced, etc. I held my breath for the final price and it was amazingly reasonable and fair. I was over the moon.Picked up the machine a day or two later. They went over the repairs again, and reminded me there is a 90 day warranty. My machine is happy and working just fine now. This is the new shop for me even though it means a 50 mile round trip rather than a 10 mile round trip to the other store in Austin. The store is clean and bright and the folks working there are lovely. Going to make the trek up north to check out their fabrics and notions.

I am new to sewing and received a gifted machine that had one minor problem. The folks here were able to do a quick fix “bench repair” for $10 while other places quoted me a full service fee that was much more expensive. They were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable as well! I know where I will go when I am ready for the next step up!

I had a small issue come up with my Brother machine and David took the time to explain and show me what had happened and helped me troubleshoot some ways to prevent it from happening again. He’s very knowledgeable and super friendly and I’m so appreciative of his time! I use this machine for my job so David saved the day (and my paycheck!) Thank you David!!

This is my favorite sewing/quilting/embroidery store in the Austin/Roundrock/Georgetown area. They have everything you need to start one of these hobbies or upgrade to a newer machine for more experienced customers. They have a nice selection of fabric and thread to chose from. I took both my embroidery and sewing machines there for service. I bought a new Janome embroidery machine there for a great price!
