Took my transmission in to have them rebuild it. Gave a 50% deposit only to be told the next day that they wouldn't do it because I had the bell housing repaired. I respect their right to reject the repair, but it is not cool for a company to reject the repair, without ordering any parts or performing any work, and then to keep a 15% "Restocking" fee. That is a scam.
If parts had been ordered or work performed, I can agree, but this was rejected without either.
The cherry on top is I had to come back to get parts that were not returned the first time. (yes, slightly on me, but I was preoccupied holding my tongue about the "Restocking" fee)

Aus-Tex definitely exceeded my expectations. Very knowledgeable and honest. I was updated as the work was being completed, and notified of any concerns. Definitely recommend to everyone I know. I will be bringing all of my business to them from now on!

I drove 10 hours to leave my truck there. Took less than 2 weeks to get me a lift slot. 2 days to get it back. They went out of their way to accommodate me when a plan I had fell through. The ladies in the office were all so polite and amazing. Thank you all at Aus-Tex. Regardless how the transmission holds up you still get 5 stars for being great humans!

This was my first time dealing with a local transmission builder and I have to say I had a great experience. Everybody there was knowledgeable and very straightforward on how the process worked and I felt comfortable giving them my money to have my 4L80 transmission built to go behind my 5.3 Silverado. I was able to speak with Pepe their transmission builder who gave me all the details and made me feel confident and comfortable that my money would be well spent. I’ve now gotten the transmission back and was able to go and drive it and it shifts great and handles the power absolutely flawlessly. And it comes with a warranty, which is a big plus that gives me peace of mind. I will absolutely do business with them again and recommend anyone who asks.

Aust-Tex Transmissions treated me like family. ?. They kept me up to date on the status of my vehicle that I took recently. This is is the 2nd vehicle I’ve taken to them. And I haven’t had a problem with my first vehicle and I don’t expect any problems with this vehicle (Ford Pick-Up). Thank you Aus-Tex Transmissions ?

I was having issues with my transmission on my 2000 Dodge ram1500 pickup, took it to these guys they rebuilt it and upgraded it and even painted it, and now it runs flawlessly, these guys go above and beyond ?

I’m not going to say much here. You want it done right with someone who has been doing it and continues to grow his knowledge that’s Pepe at Aus-Tex. When I’m asked do I know anyone I send them to him. You want it done right first go, see Pepe. My 2nd transmission from them 2 different vehicles. This last one they did complete install on it. They communicate, they have great customer service, and they get the job done right. As long as Aus-Tex is around they will have my business and will continue to refer anyone I come across to them.

Amazing communication! They kept me updated throughout the entire process. Identified and recommended repairs for issues that ultimately save me time and money.
Most inportantly, the truck runs great and the stage 2 transmission performs amazingly.

Just picked up my truck 2003 F350 from getting a Stage 1.5 transmission shifts a lot better than before. Will keep updated on longevity of the transmission but so far so good. Customer service was good as well no complaints there.

Hand down a solid establishment. I didn’t even end up purchasing and after they said freight would kill the whole transaction for me due to pricing and having to set up freight they were still helpful and informative knowing I wasn’t going to purchase.
