Love this place. Took my 6 mo old puppy (63 lbs) and not socialized yet and he loved them. Been there twice and he loves it. Great job and his long hair and he always gets a scarf when he is done. He looks very cute and smells really good.

I set my appointment via the online booking system, which is via email. I was told the appointment was for the afternoon of the 1st. When none of my three emails were returned over the course of a week to confirm the general time of arrival, I called in the day before the appointment. I was told I was actually scheduled for several days later at a time I could not accommodate due to being out of town. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend.

Excellent! Up front with their pricing and even give discounts when they feel they've taken too long. They work with you on EXACTLY what you want done with your dog. No overcharging on basic grooms for specific breeds. They call you the entire way through if there is an issue. They smell great when you pick them up and aren't skittish.These girls are awesome, y'all. Did last minute fixes that I asked for, bought fragrance, tipped AND didn't cost me an arm & leg. Dogs were super happy too.

I would recommend "The Dog Shop" this place gets 5 stars they deserve 10. My dog got into the trash before we went on our family vacation and he had to come to the kennel. He was sick with vomit and diarrhea and they took EXTREMELY good care of him! They made him rice and pumpkin to settle his stomach. They called consistently to give us updates and they even took him to the vet to ensure he gets the proper care. They can take care of my dog anytime!! My family can't express how much we appreciate this wonder customer service!!

We've used the Dog Shop twice but unfortunately both experiences were beyond traumatic for our dog. We have a miniature poodle mix and the first grooming he received was a year ago and was very traumatic to all of us (his fur was cut too short, to his skin, and he had cuts all over his body. He was so traumatized, he barely moved for days). After 1 year, this past weekend, we decided to give the dog shop another shop and they were kind enough to give us a store credit however his haircut was again super short, even though we explained multiple times and only chose to have his private parts shaved. Our dog can barely move now, 5 days after the grooming, he is very uncomfortable, all the shaved areas are very itchy, he is not even eating well. We never had a bad grooming experience from other shops, so we're very disappointed at the quality of the grooming being performed there.

Love the groomers and especially the layout of the entrance when you come in nothing but other Furbabies. I love dogs and I love how you see other Furbabies greeting you as well! I have 3 dogs my furfamily! Any questions you have they will answer directly and no b.s. (sorry) but true. I'm always very very satisfied with The Dog Shop!

I took my dog in for the first time because we recently moved to the area. My dogs appt was for 12 and we dropped him off at 11:45. There was young staff at the front who were clearly newer. They told me about 4 hours. I called around 3:30 just to make sure they were on schedule to be picked up and I had to tell them my dogs name 3x in order for them to "know who he was". They told me 4:30. I get there at 4:30 to my dog being "mixed up" with another dog and told me they haven't even gotten to my dog yet there was another dog ahead of me and it would be 90 minutes. They had already bathed my dog so I picked him up and paid $40 for a bath after they tried to charge me $62 for a freaking bath because they thought he was a poodle. He's a Bischon mix NOT a standard poodle. To top it off I drop my dog off at daycare near my job in galleria and was initially interested in possibly bringing my dog back for daycare since it's close to home if the haircut went good. The daycare area is a joke. It's a room with dogs barking like crazy just wanting to get out of the gated area, and no staff interaction at all. They had puppy pads down and p*** on the floor. I'll continue to go out of my way to Camp Run a Mutt in Houston. I will never be returning here.

TL:DR Took 7 hours to get our dog back with zero communication, because they didn't know who our dog was. Tried to give us someone else's dog.I dropped my dog off at 12:00 for a simple cut, didn't get him back until almost 7 hours later. I was told when dropping him off that it might be a couple hours as they were busy, fair enough I thought. My wife called around 3 hours later to ask what the estimate was to collect him 'another hour, hour and a half she was told.' I then called 5 hours later, and was asked, 'what does my dog look like? I don't know what any of them are called.' I then had to describe my dog in detail because apparently there were two dogs that looked very alike in there at different stages. But again we were told 'another hour, hour and a half.'After an hour had passed we decided it was time to just go and get him, as it had now been 6 hours since we dropped him off.When we get there, we're told our dog is still being trimmed, is there anything else that needs to be done to him? Turns out that wasn't our dog. Our dog had been ready for 'an hour maybe? I don't know'But they went ahead and butchered someone else's dog without checking they had the right one. Then asked multiple times, are you sure this isn't your dog? Like guys, I know my own dog, and that ain't it.Received no admission of guilt or apology, no attempt to make amends. Guess we'll be be looking for another groomer.1 star only because they did actually cut him how we asked, even if I did have to tidy up a cut or two when we got our dog home.

Always do a great job and they always go above and beyond. Very professional :) best groomers ever!
