They are very caring and helpful. It is an emergency vet, so be prepared to bust open that wallet. But they took great care of my little kitten

This place won't give quotes on spay and neuter for dogs. They stated you have to go in for a $77.28 wellness visit and get a customized quote for the service. I guess they want to see what I'm driving or wearing.

**edit based on their reply** My dog is old and going downhill. I just want him to be pain-free. While their answer about checking levels might hold true for a 2-year old dog, this is not my situation. I am angry that this vet feels the need to gatekeep pain relief for an old dog with little time left on this earth. I asked for six tablets, not a lifetime supply.
Zero compassion - now about $$. Formerly a great vet, this place has turned into a money mill. I took my elderly lab there because he was having problems getting up and down. He would whimper. I was given a NSAID and we agree the path forward was to keep the dog “comfortable” for the rest of his days. I was given 14 pills and told to give him one pill every day for two weeks. The pills worked so well that I only gave him one pill when he had a flare up. The pills lasted six months. I called back for a refill and was told I would need to bring him back in for full bloodwork before they would give me a prescription refill. What a joke. I don’t want to load up a dog, in pain, and drive him 20 miles for bloodwork that won’t alter the course of his life. The receptionist said it was “law” that they have to check bloodwork which is so stupid I don’t even have to google it. I have been taking my animals there since I moved to Texas in 2001. I am now an EX-customer of theirs. What a joke.

My girls have seen pretty much every doctor there for one urgency or another (though mostly Drs. Clemons and Cohen). One of them even actually enjoys getting to see her doctor. They’re all warm and caring and spend enough time to make you comfortable with what they’re recommending. I’m very happy with them and plan to keep on using them.

I've been bringing my pets to Rockwall County Veterinary Clinic for years, even after moving out of Rockwall, and it's all thanks to Dr. Cohen and the incredible team here. Dr. Cohen is simply amazing—she's smart, compassionate, and always takes the time to explain everything clearly, making sure I understand what’s going on with my fur babies. Her dedication and gentle approach have earned my complete trust, something that hasn’t always been easy to find in a veterinarian.
The clinic itself is top-notch in my opinion. The staff is consistently friendly, supportive, and they go out of their way to make both pets and owners feel comfortable. They truly understand how important our pets are to us and treat them like family.
Even though I’ve had a few bad experiences with other providers in the past, I never have to worry when I bring my pets here. The care they receive is always exceptional, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with their health. I highly recommend Dr. Cohen and the entire team at Rockwall County Veterinary Clinic for anyone looking for outstanding veterinary care.

I have been using this clinic for many years. They have always taken good care of all my pets. Recently my cat was very sick and even though they were fully booked they worked him in the same day. Nice but professional service and I really appreciate the follow up calls from the Vet.

This is the place where I've taken my pet to be cared for since I obtained her, around 7 years, both for regular checkups and if anything presents itself with her health; and also for boarding. She is well taken care of in health and in sickness and for when I need boarding. The staff are courteous and always helpful!

All the Drs. and staff are really great! Our Cooper's Dr is Dr. Clemons and she is amazing. Our little Cooper was suffering from an issue with his eye. Another vet clinic couldn't figure out what was going on with his eye and it was going on 3 weeks with it only getting worse (which in the end he ended up losing). I was referred to Rockwall County Vet by a family member. Dr. Clemons diagnosed my poor baby's eye. I have to say she did her hardest and tried different treatments and she never gave up hope to save his eye after what the other clinic had done. She made me felt that we had all her attention and was focused only on Cooper. She was so patient with me and answered all questions and put my concerns at ease. Rockwall County Vet is the only clinic I trust to care for my babies.
