I made an appointment with Sue, a volunteer foster, to meet at the Petco in Rockwall to adopt a kitten named Waylon. I called Sue after viewing the web sight and choosing a kitten (our older daughter and her family had adopted one of Waylon's brothers last weekend and they told us about Waylon). She told me that Waylon was available and asked if I wanted to see the other kittens. I told her no. We were only interested in Waylon. After scheduling the appointment with her to adopt Waylon my family and myself went shopping for Waylon and spent nearly $300 getting him things he would need and to make his life happy. While at the store I text Sue and asked what type of food Waylon eats so that we could get him the same kind. She replied and told me what he eats. I told her we were buying all of the supplies for him. Then on the way to meet and adopt Waylon, Sue called me. She started out asking if Waylon was really the only kitten we were interested in. I told her yes, we only want Waylon. That's the kitten we called her about and scheduled to adopt. She then stated that she thought maybe i would like to see the other kittens because another woman who met Waylon yesterday was meeting her at the same time as me and my family TO ADOPT WAYLON. What the hell?!?! So we continue to go to Petco in the hopes that the other woman would see how much my children and granddaughter wanted Waylon and maybe give in to letting us adopt him. She brought the other kittens, even though I had JUST told her on the phone on the way to Petco that we did NOT want to see the other kittens. She brought them anyway and then went on to say that she remembered me saying I wanted to see all of the kittens and that I never said I wanted Waylon. I TEXT her about Waylon and she answered. I didn't ask her about "the kittens" in general. She went on to make it sound as if I was in the wrong and that the other woman had already planned to get Waylon. This was a very emotional and stressful event for my children. Sue wasted our time from the very beginning by saying that Waylon was available and scheduling for us to adopt him. I don't know what her problem is but I do NOT recommend her as a foster at all. She broke my children's hearts and then tried to put the blame on me when I have the texts between us proving my intentions to adopt Waylon. I never would have promised my children this kitten and risked them being heartbroken had she just told me the truth in the very beginning. She is a horrible person for doing this. I understand people make really bad mistakes. But to then try to flip it and blame an innocent party for your own mistakes is just awful.my children cried all the way back to Terrell. Thank you Sue I really appreciate it.

Andy at the Rockwall location would not give us a full refund when they sold use a broken thing. He was very rude and unprofessional. they did not give us a receipt when doing curbside pickup and when we went it he was like i see you order it but I can't find it in our system.

We went in to get my dogs nails trims and the lady with pink hair (didn't tell me her name) was very rude, she had snappy come backs to my questions ,rude tone when she was talking and just over all bad experience. She didn't try to comfort my dog while she trimming my nails when you could clearly tell my dog was scared. Will not be returning.

Took my Buddy Yorke to Katie for the third time. The first time she did exactly what I asked for a reasonable price, the second time she was so busy and overwhelmed, not so good. Today I told her not to cut his ears, she did, not to cut his tail, she did. She told me she couldn't cut his nails because he wouldn't let her (this has never happen before). Charged me 70$ for extra long hair (he has never had long hair) extra brush out ( I brushed hid hair before going, it's short). I asked why the checker said we charged everyone for this kind of dog, What!! Got home his butt is bleeding because she cut his butt too short! ! Oh my God and I'm so devastated and mad. I'm taking them to small claims court not for money, but just because they put my poor little Yorke through a 4 hour hell, he weighs 6lbs!

Terrible experience with the grooming side of the business. First walk in, not greeted, no hello, nothing. Girl that's grooming another dog acknowledged me only by asking if I was there for Moo, my dog. I said yes and she then YELLED for another groomer to come to the front. Jason, (must be new) came to the front and still no hello, no "how are you?", etc. but proceeds to ask me multiple odd questions such as "has your dog had a reaction to vaccines in the past?".... Um no but also, I'm here for a bath not a vaccine? That was weird, he then asks if my dog has any health issues so I asked why they needed this information since I have been there at least 4 others times. We go once a month so I was just there 30 days ago and no one has ever asked those questions before. Girl in the back snaps and says "we have to have them for health purposes, okay?!" In the most RUDE tone I have ever experienced.... I immediately cancelled the appointment and left. I have never been treated so poorly by workers. I can find another groomer who would love to have my business and somewhere where it won't take 4+ hours for a simple bath. Thanks but no thanks.

This was unbelievable experience in this store, As a customer that spends $75/ monthly on food and treats at petco and get my lab cooper groomed a few times a year. I'm from pa, lived in Long Island and Austin, never have my dog or us treated so disrespectful than in the Rockwell store. Got a funny feeling walking in when the store looked dirty and dingy. Then we go into the grooming area and the receptionist didn't even acknowledge us till I spoke to her, we were told at our 11am appointment he'll be ready in 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. Didn't hear nothing till we walked in at 2:15,3hrs15min later , oh were behind and it's going to be another 1 1/2, when I said that's unexepytable I was snipped at say we have 3-4 hour to complete. I told her well then I guess he'll be done in 45 minutes. Walked out and thought wait have they done anything? Where is he? Walked back in and asked if they did anything and was told no. I said get my dog, when they opened the door to the cages I saw my 100lb lab stuffed in a cage that a poodle wouldn't move, he came out shaking and scared, when leaving the smart --- had the audacity of this grooming to look at us and smile, says "have a nice day" , we all know what she really meant. This was abuse. I had to give one star, wish I could take 5 back

Usually not this bad. I had switched to petsmart for my feeder fish due to them being cheaper. After the winter storm they still didn't have feeders in stock so I figured I would go here to get my fish their food. I waited in the fish section for 10+ minutes with multiple employees walking by on a seemingly non busy time period. Homie in the fish section ( I forget his name, usually great but a bit of a talker) was helping another lady out not with the fish themselves but what seemed to be supplied for her tank. After the 10 or better minute wait I decided to just grab some frozen fish to get them by. As I was paying I mentioned the wait and was told anyone there could help out but that confused me on the 4 person backup and multiple employees looking at us in the fish section. I would recommend going if you have 20-30 minutes to spare waiting or going a mile down the road to petsmart. Sorry petco but I will no longer be bringing my business to you. I usually by 100 feeder fish a week.

Made an appointment to have our dog groomed. When we got there, they asked how old our dog is (16). Then they said they needed her shot records. Nothing on the website that I saw said we needed to bring her shot record. OK, maybe I missed it. Sent my hubby on the 20-min or so drive home to get it while I waited in the store. 38 mins later, just as my hubby was about to arrive, they tell me they don't do dogs our dog's age unless they are 100% healthy--did our dog have any health issues? I said yes, she is very active and peppy, but was just dx'd with a slightly enlarged heart. The groomer told me PetCo cannot do my dog's grooming based on that. There is no waiver I can sign to allow it (I asked). They hand me a pre-printed list of some vets that might do the grooming. My hubby rushed into the store with the shot record and I tell him what just happened. He asks why they didn't tell us that right away, before he made the mad dash home through traffic or why it wasn't on the website. No idea!! The info about shot records being required and age/health restrictions should be on the website or at least have been told to us when we arrived instead of sending us on a goose-chase for no good reason. This was so poorly handled that we won't shop at PetCo again--too many other places to get our pet supplies. I also had an issue with the vet/company PetCo (different store) used to give our dog shots a few years ago and later learned others have had problems with that vet, too. A terrible, unresponsive vet when I tried to contact them later. That should have been my sign back then about ever using PetCo.

I was here maybe a week ago or so and haven't had time to do a review till now but I'm giving it two stars because the store is actually pretty good but there is one staff member that surprised me at how unprofessional she was. I believe her name was Shelby or that's what I read on her name tag. She looked very unprofessional, smelled horrible like BO and cigarette smoke, and seemed to be walking around the store watching either Netflix or YouTube, I'm not sure. But I was super surprised that this was happening. And when I first came into the store, she didn't greet me at all even though she was right at the entrance and quickly walked away so she wouldn't have to help me. I really hope management does something about this because this is how you lose customers

Buyer beware. I researched online for an elizabethan collar for my labrador. It was listed for $23.99 but showed $17.99 which was cheaper than PetSmart at $22.99 so I drove there and bought it with confidence...not even checking the final price until I got home. Much to my surprise it was $23.99 plus tax = $25.97. I got back online and seen the $17.99 and fine print must be ordered online for pick-up or delivery plus there was an extra 10% off for pick-up or curbside. This makes it $16.19 plus tax = $17.53. Needless to say I ordered it online and returned the store bought one for a refund and savings of $8.44 or 32.5% off store price. But wait! It gets better. I searched Amazon and found it for $19.99 and Walmart for $15.99 but on ebay it was $6.99 with $5.99 delivery for a total of $12.98 or 50% off store price. The part that I remember most is the cashier who refunded my money just said, "Oh well, that is just how it works online...". I will make sure I or my friends, family, or acquaintances never make this mistake.

Well we brought our Pappillon female in for a haircut. Discussed option and they assured us they understood from previous cutting what to do. Most of the dogs we saw were getting really close cuts. We said not like those dogs. My wife took time to explain the length in detail. Well so much for instructions. We came back in an hour and a half and oh my. Our pets hair was almost shaved. We were shocked to say the least. We questioned the tech and she had no excuse. She tried to blame my wife. We were expected to pay for this terrible service to our pet. We have bought dog food, cat food and many other pet supplies here but this was totally unacceptable. It not like you can reattach hair. This will be our last trip ever to this facility or another Petco for any kind of grooming. To top it all off the hair as short as it is was uneven. We still have a hard time excepting the fact our pets hair is so short. The worst thing is they cut her small whiskers short. I am trying to be nice so I will not say what is really on my mind. These people need some serious training here. I encourage anyone with the corporation or local management team to contact me. If o could give them a zero I would.

Nice people and always has the products I am looking for. I come here often for rat happy meals for my snake and cat/bird toys. I also like looking at the ferrets when they have them.
