Dr. Sandknop and his associates have been there for my primary care for over a decade. I have found them to be thorough, pleasant and professional. Dr. Sandknop, personally, has been my primary care physician. He is one of the most caring doctors I’ve ever had. I’m a senior, on Medicare, and I know he makes very little money treating me, but he makes me feel like the most important patient in his practice.

My recent experience with Sandknop’s office policies and communication has left me deeply disappointed. As someone who has relied on a specific medication since the age of 14, I’ve encountered shortages before, but none as poorly managed as this. When my local pharmacy ran out of stock and informed me it would be weeks before they restocked, I reached out to Sandknop’s office to transfer my prescription to a pharmacy that had the medication available.
However, instead of understanding the urgency of the situation, I was met with resistance and hostility from Quinn, Rickert’s assistant. Despite my pleas and the efforts of the pharmacy to request the transfer, Sandknop’s office adamantly refused, citing “company policy.” This inflexible stance not only disregarded my medical needs but also displayed a shocking lack of empathy towards patients.
Despite attempts to escalate the issue by leaving messages for Dr. Rickert, I received no response. It’s disheartening to see a healthcare provider prioritize bureaucratic policies over the well-being of their patients. Denying a simple request for medication transfer during a shortage is not just negligent; it’s a failure in patient care.
I’ve always held Dr. Rickert and his team in high regard, particularly his former assistant Pam, but my encounter with Quinn has shaken my confidence in their ability to provide compassionate and responsive healthcare. If you’re seeking a healthcare provider who values patient experience and prioritizes their needs, I urge you to look elsewhere. Sandknop’s office policies and communication protocols are deeply flawed, and until they address these issues, I cannot in good conscience recommend them to others.

Dr Sandknop and and all his other staff members are very caring and give excellent care to their patients. They have saved my life more than once

Dr. Sandknop and his staff have always been kind, courteous, and respectful. We met 11 years ago, then midway I moved 5.5 hours away. I continue to see him every 3 months for my health conditions. I am alive today because of him. We maintain my health the Best way possible. I thank God for Dr. S. He gets me and he is definitely a keeper.

If you are the type that only comes to a doctor once a year; and expects to have a physical, bloodwork and prescriptions filled at the same time, this place isn’t for you. When I filed a report today, I found out that there are several open insurance fraud investigations. This place will make you come for three separate visits to see doctor for physical, then another appointment for once a year medication refills. If you are a woman, and there for your yearly women’s visit, you will have to come back again for an appointment to order your bloodwork. This should all happen together at your yearly physical. This place used to be great, my wife, kids and I have been coming for years. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Only 1 star because 0 is not an option. There is a shortage on my medication and very few pharmacies have it in stock. Í finally found 1 that has it. Called to see if they can send it to that pharmacy and was told that they can’t transfer just because the original one dose not have it. Was told I’d have to go without until they could fill it. Never again will I go back to someone I pay to see that will not help me out.

Wanted to move from one side of DFW to closer to home. Becky Wynn was highly recommended. She is very nice, but that ends the positives. I was seen for a new patient appt. I asked my pharmacy to refill prescriptions. Sandkopf refused until I was seen again for a refill appointment, but no one called me to let me know. They purely denied the requests. I left multiple messages on multiple days and never received a call back. I finally spoke with "Amanda" who hung up on me. I went to their office and spoke to a nice lady at their from desk. Still no calls back however. My old doctor filled my refills. Called for more refills a month later, denied again. No one ever told me I had to be seen anytime I needed something different. So far, the people at Sandkopf have been generally rude. I won't go back!!!

Spoke with someone several weeks ago about refilling my medication. She said she couldn’t bc I had an appointment for a different reason and needed me to come back another whole day for just a regular med refill… (which I do billing and coding and that is a complete lie she’s wanting to collect that extra $95 copay off my account) she said let me talk to the doc and I’ll call you back. She calls back and said ok we can call you in a month until you can make your SECOND appointment to be seen again for a different reason. But holy cow, guess what….. STILL NO MED REFILL!!!!!!!!!NEVER WAS I CALLED AND TOLD I COULDNT HAVE A REFILL EITHER. My pharmacy and Dr just kept going back and forth on refill, denial but neither chose to let me know. I am beyond frustrated and angry with the terrible care I have been receiving from this clini for months now. I love Becky but this place isn’t worth it. Sorry. If my appointment I had sitting for now wasn’t the most important, I would cancel it and never come back here.

Dr Kumar is an exceptional physician. He is professional, personal, and brilliant. I’ve been treated by many physicians, but none compare to the compassion and complete care that he continuously provides.
