Our experience at Hertz Rental Car in Rockwall was a mixed bag. While the customer service was excellent, we were disappointed by the long wait time. It's worth noting that this rental car location seems more geared towards long-term rentals.After a flight delay left us stranded without a car due to Avis rental car mishap, we found ourselves at Hertz, conveniently located inside a Ford dealership outside of Dallas in Rockwall. Despite the wait, the staff provided friendly and helpful service, ensuring a smooth rental process without any hiccups.In summary, while the wait was frustrating, the overall experience at Hertz Rental Car in Rockwall was positive, thanks to the accommodating customer service and ease of renting a car.

I wish I could provide a 5 star review. However, I received horrible service from this particular location. I rented a vehicle from here and was not told that the gas tank door was broken. It wasn't until I had been on the road for several hours and stopped to get gas that I realized the door was jammed when I called this location to inform them they allowed me to rent out a car that was an operable operable the representative named candy Told me that I needed to just use a credit card to open the gas door. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told to call back. I called back many times to attempt to speak to Ashley who was never available I will not rent from this location because they do not care about customer service or their customers. I would advise you all to properly inspect your cars if you are going to rent from here, or I highly suggest going elsewhere. I notice they have many one star reviews and I see why.

Hertz needs to learn ths concept of what a reservation is. I placed one to pick up a car when I got off work about 5pm. I received an email and a text message that it was confirmed. Went to pick up the car when I got off work to find they were all out of cars. When i asked why they didn't contact me they claimed they tried to call me one time. I asked for the number they called from and looked thru my recent calls and they never called me, when asked they said I must have blocked their number ??. I asked them why they didn't email or text me since the had that option and was told they didn't do that. I was stranded at the dealership. Thank God for Enterprise not only were they able to get me a car but they waited 10 mins after closings for me to arrive. Enterprise saved they day!!!!

I rent vehicles often for business and personal use. This was, by far, the worst customer service and it took me over an hour just to return my car. There were at least four other customers waiting to rent vehicles that, according to them, had been waiting over 2 hours. There was only one person working and she continually kept leaving the office while we all just sat and waited for her to return. Definitely will not use this location again.

Super nice people, great car selection. I was able to choose from multiple options when checking in and my car was clean and ran great. I was able to drop it off on my way out of town at 7:25 am even though thy don't open until 7:30. 1200 miles in 2 days and the rental experience was wonderful.

I was scared to rent here, I've never rented before and the reviews made me weary. The woman who helped me was very polite, and helpful. Everything went great, I am very happy I went here!

If I could leave negative stars I would! The people running the front desk are the rudest people I have ever encountered. First cold front of the year hit today, tire light came on. The lady told me they would be filing an incident report and if they deemed it my fault I would be responsible for a brand new tire so she suggest I go take care of the issue… So here I sit at a tire shop confirming there is nothing wrong with the tire and put air in it so I am not charged the cost of a tire. Furious is an understatement!!!

Absolutely will never rent from hertz again. Will never suggest any one I know to ever rent from hertz. Sad thing is I work for a large company who rents lots of vehicles. Guess what I just became an enterprise advocate .

Despite my initial fear of renting with them due to their poor reviews, Hertz was the only company that would allow me to rent given my age(20). Because I have AAA the underage fee was waived. I reserved a car the night before pick up and when I showed up in the morning a car was ready for me to use. Check out was fast and easy. The associate was very nice and professional. He allowed me to change part of my reservation at check out and I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. The car was clean. I had no problems during the week I had the car. I returned the car to Hertz located at DFW Airport and the process was fast and easy as well. I waited until the final charge cleared on my card to make this review. And I was charged exactly what I was quoted. My entire trip went seamless and I will be renting through them on my next trip. I can’t speak for others experiences with Hertz, but mine was amazing.Edit: about a week later a charge of about $70 was flagged by my bank and ultimately declined by my bank for fraudulent activity. My bank tried to figure out what the charge was for because it was under some weird third-party name, and they couldn’t figure it out so they ultimately flagged and denied the charge. But after some digging on Google, I found that the third-party was associated with Hertz for tolls. They charge like a $50 convenience fee to give you your total amount for the toll which I think is crazy. I found that they have been sued by multiple different states for this protocol aswell. My experience with the local Hertz was still very enjoyable and I’m sure they’re just following protocol, but hertz as a corporate seems to be very sneaky. And I’m very lucky to have a good bank that wouldn’t let the charge just go through.

I returned a rental here picked up from another location. My final checkout was suppose to be $357.38 charged at a weekly rate. I received an email for $772.76 charged at a per day rate. This location purposely switched my rate. While calling the 1-800 the group of Indian customer service representatives provided terrible service. The first guy was rude then the line dropped when he stated he would return. The next woman was extremely mute not talking as if she was instructed to keep quiet. I am a first time Hertz customer. This is beyond disappointing, I will never conduct business with them again. The chain of command has failed in this organization. Book your rentals elsewhere.

If i can, i will give a 0 star.Booked reservation because i needed a rental car for the weekend since my car is at the mechanic for service.Took a Uber all the way there and once there, i was told that all cars are booked. The lady stated that she called me (I understand that she has no control of it)...Took another Uber to get back home and to my surprise, the rental was not even cancelled.I had to call the 1800 number to ensure that i cancel it.. Hope they won't be a charge since the pick up time elapsed...Not a good way to do business and i will surely not get a rental from that location if needed in the future.Crazy..../.
