She was very helpful finding a dress in the right size and price range. My future daughter in law only tried 3 different dresses before she found her dress. I had to order mine in the right size but it was the first one I tried on.

Completely body shamed me and a fellow bridesmaid when we came in for alterations. Went back and got my dress an hour later after crying in my car.
The woman told me I could “lay off the sugar” and lose 5-10 pounds and the dress would look better. She said there was “no way” the dress had fit me at some point. The first thing out of the dressing room that she said was “I don’t know where you got this from honey, but you need a bigger size.” Over and over again she spoke of my weight, criticizing me and making sly and hurtful comments. She said there was no way I could possibly breathe in the dress, and every time she’d unzip it she’d tease me with an “Oh I bet you can finally breathe now” or “I bet you feel so much better now”. I was on a platform in the middle of the room, staring into a mirror, trying not to cry after my self esteem was ruined. I’m by no means scrawny, but I am 5’4 and 125 pounds, so I can’t imagine what she’d say to anyone above that.
AND a bridesmaid from my party came an hour later, of course in the same dress, and a woman named Debbie did the exact same thing to her. She told the girl “let me guess, since you’re in college, you’re lazy and sit around on the couch eating and drinking sodas”. She went on to say that she wasn’t going to tell her to go on a diet, but something needs to change and to definitely not gain anymore weight. Additionally, she called her “really broad” and claimed she had saggy breasts.
My sister was getting a prom dress two years ago and my family also overheard them doing this to another young girl. You know how many customers they receive that come in for alterations? You think they’d find a nicer way of saying they’re going to need to let some of the fabric out and make the dress bigger. It’s absolutely insane and uncalled for. I’ve never been treated like this.
I will say, when my mother went back in to get my dress back after a few hours, they were apologetic. Swore they’d never do such a thing and tried to talk over her time and time again, but still said they were sorry in the end. Doesn’t change what happened though. Will never be back.
I ended up going to a much kinder, attentive, and overall AMAZING seamstress instead. If you’re looking for a seamstress in the Waco area, I highly recommend Haley at Couture & Sew Much More. You won’t regret choosing her.

I would never recommend Pats Gowns. Although, they do have nice dresses the staff is extremely rude. You do not ask a bride “what happened to you” when she is going in for her last appointment for alterations. What is supposed to be an exciting and happy day to see the dress before the wedding, the staff made the bride feel uncomfortable. Not sure how anyone has the audacity to ask a bride what happened to you when it is absolutely none of their business. Pats Gowns, do better and hire better employees.

I have known Debbie and Ivy since they did my wedding decades ago. Now, my daughter love going there for her dresses and whatever she needs to look beautiful on any occasion. This past year we got her homecoming dress and now her prom gown. This place got everything you need for that special occasion and more. Thanks ladies for your help and the young ladies that were there to assist us.

Recently came here looking for a prom dress. I was excited since I was told they had sizes for bigger girls, sad to see there weren’t many options. There was also a lot of sly and sarcastic remarks that were definitely not appreciated. After letting them know about my sensory issues I was met with even more sarcasm. Very disappointing since the prices were nice. And after reading some more reviews it seems I’m not the first person this has happened to. I hope the employees start treating their guests with more respect.

This place is alright they definitely have beautiful dresses but the ladies that helped my friend were very passive aggressive towards us. It made my friend very uncomfortable, it was also very hot in the changing rooms and prom dresses area. I would definitely recommend going to this place but just be aware of the rudeness you might experience.

I purchased my wedding gown from Pat’s. It was such an easy process. They respect your budget and do not try to force you into something you can’t or shouldn’t afford. The shop owners were kind and responsive to my needs. They had the perfect balance of giving me space while helping me figure out what I liked. It was one of the owners who found the dress I purchased (significantly under the budget I had given them.)

I have been going to Pat's for years for myself or with family. We have gotten wedding gowns, bridesmaids, to prom. The owners and staff are super friendly, and they know their stuff. They are so helpful in sizing or finding what might look best with your body. Pat's has various styles and sizes to choose from. They don't rush you and encourage trying on what you like. If they don't have your size, they do try to get it for you. Then, if alterations are needed, they do it there as well.

I have shopped at this place since I was 15 years old! These ladies are amazing!I wore this dress on a cruise for elegant night and I've never felt more beautiful! I had little girls waving at me and coming up to hug me like I was a princess. I even had a lady stopped me and asked me where I got my gorgeous gown.

As far as I can remember...Pat's Gowns was always the go-to for formal, prom, weddings, etc. Ladies always deliver excellent work. Definitely recommend.
