I came here today and about some items that we need.I walk up to the Dollar tree employee.I ask her very respectfully could she please check my things out for me. Linda told me no I had to go to the self-checkout machine. I ask her why don't the employees check out the customers anymore."Linda told me that I need to get use to using the self checkout". Then she tells me very aggressively in a loud rude voice !!They only check customs out if they are complaining about the self-checkout machine.I explained to her that I want to deal with a human being not a robot self-checkout machine. What so sad is Dollar tree pay their employees just to stand around and not help customers. As I can see is this company never respond when you write a review about anything going on in their store. If the customer stopped coming to all the Dollar trees they will go out of business. This is my receipt from today. I did call the corporate office today .l left a message since you can't get a real human being at their corporate office.

To the Karens working on 04/23 in Roanoke, you were so rude to my daughter for asking for them to blow up birthday balloons. Firstly, you refused checking her out, and then tried to tell her you didn't have what she needed, when she clearly showed you how to do your job. If you don’t want to work, then leave and stop collecting paychecks for sitting on your bum! Dollar Tree deserves way better representation than this. We’ll definitely be turning you in to corporate. We see you two already have other bad reviews. Real class acts! NOT!

Worst experience ever at a dollar store. I’m unaware of how to leave a zero for a review. Tamara (my spelling might be incorrect, but she is in management). Not without fail every time we go to this location she is in a bad mood. Making smart comments and looking mean and upset.
This review is being left after the consistent lack of costumer service skills. We can do better dollar tree… much better.

Everyone needs to go at 930 pm..I am almost positive that turning off the lights on customers while we are still in there is a safety hazard. When I left at 947, they locked the door behind me. Yet they dont close until 10 pm. I will be calling corporate. Good thing I didnt fall while I was in there!

Raise prices then make you check yourself out.Hate that.Dec 2023 They locked the door at 2045 (8:45 pm) with customers still inside! Five minutes later they announced they were closing all the registers. Even with a line, they would NOT check people out- just be rude that people were still in line.Manager should be fired.

Can somebody take action and fire this store manager already? Her name is either Tamera or LaTamera I believe. I came here to write a review about how cold, rude, and down right ignorant she is. She spoke to me with her back turned and didn’t want to help when I was needing assistance with balloons. She stated, “I’m not here to baby anyone.” We exchanged words back and forth and she continued to mumble under her breath - completely unprofessional! If she speaks to her customers this way, I can only imagine how poorly she treats the employees there. There are multiple reviews about bad experiences with her. She needs to go. Do better Dollar Tree!

I wasn’t going to write a review last time even though I should have. I went back in the summer for my kids birthday and encountered the rudest person. An older lady mad because I had a cart full of stuff for my kids birthday near closing. It didn’t matter that I waited in line for a good 10 min. Honestly I get it, I didn’t like when people would come right at closing but thats retail. I don’t make it out much, at the time I had 3 kids under 3. She verbally was rude in her speech to me. First about my cart of stuff, then about making sure I pushed stuff close to the counter because it was hard to reach. Something I had no problem helping her out with, if asked nice. Just a super rude lady. If you’re unhappy go find a place to work that makes you happier. Then I thought I would give it a go again and called looking for garland. Was told that they didn’t know and they were too busy unloading a truck and to call back. Again in a rude way. I’m just done with this place. I’ll pay more and go to Walmart. This place must enjoying hiring unhappy people who think it’s ok to act like jerks to customers. Hire some new people… $1.25 is worth it for encounters with your employees.

Went to pickup my online order but couldn’t find a single employee even after waiting a few minutes.I miss the old Dollar Tree where even service was good.Update: went back to try again and was successful but the employees seemed like they had better things to do than help me.

I would give it a zero if I could and only because the manager there is so rude and so unprofessional. I'm very shocked to see how many bad reviews just because of her and she is still working there. She rolls her eyes all the time and talks so rude to people. My child was standing next to me and she came to assist and told her rudely to get out of the way so I hugged my child and told her to ignore the rude and snobby lady because she is always in a horrible mood.

The worst experience I've ever had at Dollar Tree. They have 2 self check outs and 1 cashier at one check out. As she was ringing up the customers in front of me (that she didn't seem to have a problem with) she told me to use the one that was open. I said no, I'd rather deal with a person. Well it went downhill from there. The whole time LaTamara was scanning my items, she griped at me about not using the checkout. I told her I didn't like using them. She said I needed to get use to it, cos that's how everything's going. I'm sure it is, but if there's a cashier available when I have several items, I prefer them, until today. Granted I had 27 items. But she didn't need to continue griping that I needed to get with the program. I told her it takes jobs away from people, and she said no it doesn't, were fine. I'm like, I can tell that; with her being only employee there on the floor. I know retail isn't the greatest job. I worked it many years. She would not win any awards for customer service. Maybe she was having a bad day, I don't know. We don't know what each other is going through. She just needs to be somewhat pleasant if that's possible.
