On Thursday, 8/1, I brought my F-150 to Quick Lane in Lake Jackson for an oil change. I’ve been there many times with no problems. However, this time, not long after I left there, the truck started to run rough, and act like it wanted to stall. I already had a recall notice from Ford that needed attention, so I decided to limp over to Yaklin Ford’s Service department in Richwood. The service rep said they would look at it the next day (Friday) and call me that afternoon with the results. Friday came and went with no call. I called them back on the following Tuesday and was told that he’d go find out and call me back. No call back by Wednesday PM. Thursday morning I returned to Yaklin to rescue my truck from these guys. Again, the service rep was clueless as to its status. After expressing my amazement and dissatisfaction with their customer interface skills, I said I just wanted my truck back and would seek service elsewhere. So, the rep sends a mechanic out to the back lot to retrieve my truck. After a few minutes, he returns with the news that he can’t get it started. So, I call AAA for a tow truck, and we tow it to Christian Brothers in Lake Jackson. Once there, their mechanic jumps in and starts it right up. By the next morning, Christian Brothers had determined that the problem was a dirty Mass Airflow Sensor, had cleaned it, and my truck was ready to go. After picking it up, it has run fine ever since.
I don’t know what’s wrong with Yaklin Ford’s service department. But something obviously is. What I do know is that I won’t be back. And, I will NOT be visiting them to buy my new F-150 in 2025!

Our experience today with Yaklin Ford was excellent! We got a great deal on a used Kia Sorento. The entire staff was so friendly and personable. Thanks especially to Eric, Joseph and Ryan for working with us to give us a wonderful deal and buying experience. No hassle, no drama, what you see is what you get!

First time buyer
If your car shopping I highly suggest NOT considering YAKLIN FORD I bought my 2013 ford edge from Yaklin in angelton but it came from their other location in richwood. I was in desperate need of a vehicle due to issues with the one I had they told me that the ford edge was my ONLY OPTION so I had no choice but accept since all other dealerships wouldnt approve me. I started having issues the next day check engine light came on then it wouldn’t start messaged bailie whom sold it to me long story short that issue was fixed then all these lights came on that you see in the pictures the ignition sometimes will start and sometimes won’t and they give excuses that you have to turn on the ignition wait a minute then crank which is bull it should automatically start if it didn’t have issues the ac on drivers side blows heater while passenger side blows ac and Yaklin tries to say it’s user error which is lies and they know it they refuse to fix the issues I’ve contacted multiple times since the issues. The inside light that comes on when the door is open won’t go off you have to open and slam the door multiple times to get it to turn off needless to say the two ppl I dealt with at the angelton location bailie and Blake quit soon after selling me the vehicle and I kept calling because of all the issues do consider yourself warned don’t choose YAKLIN for your vehicle shopping because they in fact will screw you on your purchase

Always poor communication, and everyone could use a lesson in phone etiquette. If doing your job is such an inconvenience to you, maybe don’t have a position that is customer facing.

Shout out to Jaxen. Really came through for me in my darkest hour. Needed something smaller, cheaper, and fuel efficient and dude just has an eye for cars. Not only that, he was able to come through and work some stuff out to free me from the shackles of a big payment on my old truck. They were also taking a bit long to run my documents, but time flew talking to Jaxen. I didn’t even realize how late it had gotten! Really happy with my new car and good luck on future sales, fella!
