I brought a large teardrop cut blue topaz (my wife's birthstone) in to get set in a necklace. When I came to pick it up, there was a huge chip where one of the prongs of the claw set against the stone. They tried to tell me I brought it in that way. This was not a negligible defect. It was a 2 mm gap on the edge of the stone. They denied responsibility and even tried to get ME to pay to have the stone refaced. I am not complaining about their customer service because that implies they care at all about their customers. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!

Super unprofessional business. There’s never anyone there to greet you and they expect you to spend money at their establishment. They never sell any jeweller the same pieces can be seen today and next year. They don’t call you or notify you of anything they just make their own changes as the go along. They act upset when you bring them business. Won’t be spending another dime here at all, and you can thank the tall guy behind the desk for that.

Rating this business a one because of poor customer service! My mom and I went to get her watch battery replaced when we entered the owner saw us and never greeted us and then once he helped us he was very unfriendly people have the right to choose to spend their money wherever they want and we should’ve really taken our business elsewhere!!

The owners of Winfield's retired, and this location is now Huffmans's. I used Winfield's for both repair and new purchases for over 13 years. If I was rating Winfield's, it would be a 5 star plus!!! But I am very unhappy with the new owners, Huffmans, which is getting this 1 star review. I went to Huffman's to purchase a new gold necklace and for repair of earrings. Dallas County has been under a mandatory mask order for months. But Garrett, who works at Huffman's and previously worked at Winfield's, was not wearing a mask. When I asked the very helpful and nice lady why Garrett did not wear a mask, she didn't know. I left and will NEVER go back. The lack of respect for a local ordinance and for the health of customers is unforgivable.

I sent a ring to Darryn all the way from his hometown in Iowa that was in pretty bad shape. the ring was cut off my husband's finger which broke the onyx and has been sitting in my jewelry box for 15 years. My husband's 50th birthday was coming up so I thought I would have it fixed. Darryn restored it to its original luster and it is beyond beautiful! He is an amazing jeweler!! I may have have another project for him too!! Thanks Darryn!

It is under new ownership now, but Garrett is still there. The new owner Darryn is very friendly and offers great advice on adding new stones to customize a piece I have and explained what what be the best option to make the piece look the best. Will continue to go as long as I am around.
