I have several dogs at very different learning levels at this facility. All the trainers have been extremely helpful with figuring out what each of my dog's need. Training is always so fun yet still challenging! I've gone through manners 1, 2, & 3, puppy training, barn hunt, and LOTS of private sessions. Looking forward to exploring more programs as we grow and learn.

I was in from Michigan and wanted to practice my Barn Hunt so I called What a Great Dog and booked training with Victoria. She was fabulous! and the facility was very nice as well. So glad I did this. Thank you and keep up the good work.

This review is specifically for the WAGD in-home training program and the wonderful trainer Fable Gay. First of all, this is an amazing service, because it allows for assessment and training in the dog's living environment. Second, Fable is a skilled, patient and attentive trainer, who proposes and implements realistic solutions to problem behaviors. I had a bit of experience with other trainers, but this one is simply on a different level. I wholeheartedly recommend WAGD's in-home training program and Fable Gay!

This has to be the best dog training facility i ever been to. Their classes are well taught and their instructors give attention to every dogs individual issues. I only had training with two trainers but what I experienced has been great. One of their best trainer I have to say is miss Victoria who teaches barn hunt.

Im trying this place again 11 yrs later after getting a second dog during covid and wanting her and my older Jack to get some basics down so we can work on agility as they are both very hyper, intelligent energetic dogs ( Jack Russell's)the little one is a nervous nelly according to the trainer who conducted her group eval.. no surprise there as she's never really been socialized to people outside her family and other dogs besides her brother. The 11 year old is reactive on walks but he's got his basic commands down..I expected both to go through some private training then a few group classes before jumping into agility. The owner was full of doom and gloom. She never asked to see what my older boy could do as far as tricks and commands. She quickly wrote him off as May never be able to participate in an agile class"In fact , she recommended zoom room training which is in McKinney . Thankfully I live in McKinney and took both in for an eval. After a comprehensive eval where the trainer was so delighted with my pups agility moves and tricks , he was cleared to start private agility to increase his confidence and to join some group classes later on .The little one was enrolled in basic obedience and socialization as well and she performed well with the agility equipment privately. Same approach for her. Keep bringing her in for private agility to build confidence , attend socialization classes and obedience group classes.WAG , thanks for referral to Zoom where they don't write off dogs because they think their training might be complex .. Owner mentioned private agility was expensive only to find out it was 65 bucks. Please don't count peoples pockets as you have no clue on what their thresholds are.Final note : Terrible experience second time around . Can't help to think they want a certain demographic at their facility because the input I received, made zero sense.

I highly recommend WAGD!My 3 year old pup Shadow and I have completed several classes with trainer Victoria -- and she's awesome! She's very easy to work with and extremely knowledgeable... I've described her as a "dog whisperer". She's so good at reading my pups body language - and literally knowing what Shadow is thinking! The front desk staff have all been FANTASTIC to work with! Lots of smiles... plus they each seem to TRULY CARE about my pup. Superior customer service is what you will find... and you don't see that everyday. Matter of fact, the service you will receive at WAGD is clearly a notch above the rest!In summary - if you are looking for THE BEST training for your doggo - or need every dog treat and healthy food you can think of... go check out WAGD!

I've described her as a "dog whisperer". She's so good at reading my pups body language - and literally knowing what Shadow is thinking! Also, I would promptly disregard any of the 1 star/negative reviews you see below. I would chalk these up to the old adage of business - "you can't please everyone...". I'd say if 100 customers come through WAGD's doors, they can very happily please 95 of them... but 5 no matter how awesome they are, you still can't make all 100 happy, no matter what! Be certain to read the "owners" reply to any negative reviews - she took the time to reply and explain. The front desk staff have all been FANTASTIC to work with! Lots of smiles... plus they each seem to TRULY CARE about my pup. Superior customer service is what you will find... and you don't see that everyday. Currently taking my second class at WAGD. Continues to be a wonderful experience. Everyone that works there from the front desk to the trainers are so nice and patient. I highly recommend WAGD if you’re looking to improve your dog’s manners.
