This nightmare shelter is nothing more than a death camp for animals. I went to donate some litter, bowls and food today. When I arrived there was a very heavy smell of burned skin and fur in the air. It was overpowering. Then I noticed the large chimney stack right next to the building. They clearly kill the poor animals and burn the bodies. Absolutely disgusting. Not to mention the poor 4-week-old kitten I adopted a few years ago. She was "fixed" way too young, kept in a filthy environment afterward at the shelter and died of sepsis a week after I adopted her. This place needs to be shut down. They do not care for these animals in the slightest. Please rescue and adopt these animals before they are put to death.

The entire staff was really friendly. Had to surrender a cat we got from Dallas Animal Services and they made the process quick and simple.

The staff there are rude and disrespectful. We turned in a stray and were told we would be investigated for bringing it to their facility. So.. just leave them in the streets to be killed? The lady there is mental..

Got such a cute kitten from here. So quiet, playful, well behaved, and well taken care of with all the shots.

OMG. I forgot to post this review. Last week I adopted a cat named Biggie. I got there just before they closed and I was greeted with a beautiful smile from a worker named Haley. I can't explain how awesome she was. She gave Biggie food and cat litter because I wasn't prepared but I just retired and wanted a cat. They have a wonderful asset with her. Well done Haley. Excellent customer service!

Do NOT take strays/feral cats here. They do not care about saving lives. I was told there would be a 3 day holding period afterwards I would be able to see and check on a feral cat I had caught, bringing her to the shelter because I didn't want her to be cold and dehydrated. The kitten I brought was feral, but sweet. Just scared. They kept her for 5 days then decided to kill her because she wasn't immediately eating out of their hands.I'm really torn up about this. Because of the holiday I had thought she would be fine. Had I known they would have killed this kitty I would have left food and a box out for her. Absolutely sickening. I was told they had plenty of room for cats and only euthanized when they were full.

I adopted a cat here that they said may not get along with other animals and they did not so I returned the animal as they requested. I then got a dog who did not work out in my house So I found a better home for them in my building. They did not want the animal back and then flagged me because I got rid of the animal horrible place do not adopt from these people.

Wow! Amanda at the front desk was so sweet! And we were able to spend time with the cats and see which one we liked best! I mean this was absolutely the best experience and I love my little fur baby.

The absolute best shelter in DFW! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Animals are well taken care of. Got 2 cats here and had a great experience both times. Cats are $15 and fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped and they give you food, bowls, toys, treats, and more!

Got a sweet baby cat here from this shelter—she was a Russian blue. I only owned her for a year and she was the sweetest cat I had known. She passed away in may from jaundice. Caused us so much heartache. I think this shelter does not take care of their animals. Most of the cats here are super sick and on their way out. When I got my other cat here she was extremely sick had respiratory issues. Had to take her to the vet and spend 300$ right away. Just be careful here. People are ok, and the fee is quite cheap but… idk about the health of the animals here tbh.

This is the best shelter in the metroplex. They have an incredible program and excellent support from the community. They actually want to adopt out the animals and they are consistent with their care and follow up. I visit here regularly and have adopted twice. If you want to adopt an animal go here first.

Absolutely amazing staff, we have adopted out mix border collie from there and we could bot be happier. She had all needed vaccinations, the spaces for dogs are well kept and you can take them out for walk to their little dog playground. Thank you so much for helping us find our dream dog.
