we went to Lowe's to buy a wall oven. part of the deal included having their installer come to our house to make sure the model we ordered would fit into the available space. The installer (a contractor) came to our house and told use that we were 1/8 in short on one side and that meant we were a custom job. The custom job is an extra 469$ over the normal $250 installment charge. We thought this was outrageous. So we went to their competitors Home Depot down the road. Their installler told us that there was no need to extra work and that our model oven would it perfectly. We purchased through Home Depot and all told saved close to 700$ on the purchase.

Extremely friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help. Even though I was unable to make the purchase today they did everything they could to help me. I will certainly be back.

Worst customer service! I will be taking my business to Home Depot even though Lowe's is closer to our home. The employees are incompetent and clueless!

In my opinion the Richardson Lowe's is the best managed Lowe's in North Texas. Not just one particular department but all of them from nursery to building products. They manage their inventories well and staff associates that can answer customers' questions. The associates are prompt in their answers by product and the application in which will be used. I always look forward to shopping at this Lowe's location for various home projects that I encounter.

I purchased a dishwasher from Lowe's on October 15 and also paid for professional installation. When the installation team came with the dishwasher they told me they didn't have the correct parts, and that I also needed to install a new shut off valve which my plumber did two days later. I ordered the correct parts and picked them up myself from the Lowe's store, but to this day, the dishwasher still sits uninstalled in my dining room, which means it's been there all through Thanksgiving and all through Christmas. The Lowe's specialty support team has called me at least 25 times and each time they tell me I need to pick up the new parts and install the shut off valve, and each time I tell them I have already done this - back in October. I finally reported them to the BBB. Absolute worst installation/customer service I have ever seen in my life!

Update... it turns out that Lowe's service delivered the wrong dishwasher. I received someone else's dishwasher. A cheaper version of what I paid for. Lowe's officially sucks even more than I initially thought.

This review is only for the appliance installation service at Lowe's. I purchased a dishwasher, an 8-ft hose, and the installation & haul-away package on the Lowe's website on March 12. The dishwasher and hose were listed as being in stock when I purchased it. I requested Friday March 18 for the installation. It's now May 4, the past seven weeks have been a ridiculous game of missed appointment times, out-of-stock items, Lowe's calling the wrong phone #, multiple attempts to charge me for missed appointments, and very poor communication in general. Their system seems designed to prevent effective contact between the installers and the actual customer. The store itself is great, no problems there. But DO NOT USE THEIR APPLIANCE INSTALLATION SERVICE. It's horrible.
