I had a week long car rental I picked up on 11/16. Upon checking in the employee asked if I worked at State Farm since that’s the discount code I used. I was honest and said I do not, a family member does. He said the rental needs to be in their name for future reference. He tells me rental is going to be nearly $200 more than what I booked the car for. While I’m obviously upset at this point, I am on a time crunch. I don’t have time to cancel and book a different car or go to a different rental place.I was specifically told the rate increase was because I was not a State Farm employee. Turns out- he left the State Farm rate, and charged me a $26.99 PER DAY surcharge.I do absolutely realize my fault in this since I did sign the agreement. However, I was very much mislead about what the charges were and why. This is extremely shady and predatory business practice. I will never be using Hertz again. Truly disgusting behavior.

Uber renters are paying customers too. However, we are treated badly at this location.They NEVER answer the telephone.They overcharge you and NEVER provide an itemized receipt.According to an email, I am instructed to return the vehicle by 10 a.m. I arrive at 8:05 a.m. because they open at 8 a.m. The door is locked. The lady unlocks the door and turns me away along with another driver and tells us to go wait in the car as she proceeds to close the door and lock it. I responded she doesn't need to tell us to go wait in the car. She replied that it was cold and we might want to wait in the car.So every other paying customer can come inside after 8 a.m. EXCEPT Uber paying customers?The process of returning a vehicle is made unnecessarily difficult. Set aside Uber rentals, I have been a Gold member for well over 10 years and if this is Hertz's idea of how to treat paying customers by locking them out in the cold and telling them to wait in the cold during business hours, then they lost my business and anyone else I know.

I had an amazing experience with Hertz in Richardson. My car was wrecked and I got a rental car through Hertz. The manager Darvette was one the kindest, most accommodating people I've ever worked with at a car rental agency. She went above and beyond to ensure my rental experience was a good one. I would recommend her and this Hertz 10/10 times.

Ms. Bridget was professional, very nice! Always smiling! Yes she made us wait until Uber opened, BUT she was just doing her job! Instead of the company asking her to make us wait outside until 9 am. Uber should open at 8am so lobby is open to Uber drivers. Thanks! But over all! Love this location ??

This place has HORRIBLE customer service! They don't have pleasant or friendly attitudes! They don't answer the phones! My experience detoured me from renting here! I give ZERO STARS!GOD spared me from this place! First day, I arrived at 4pm to get a vehicle for uber and they stated they were closed. Despite my confirmation email stating 4:30pm After driving an hour I was turned away.Khaliah , an employee, was outside and was EXTREMELY KIND and acknowledged me, at least, and confirmed my reservation and checked to see if someone was available to help me because she understood uber rentals to be open later than general rentals. She at least tried and gave me instruction to come back in the AM.The next morning I couldn't find my DL and I came back to the location only to be ignored! I stood there forever after calling several times with no answer and I finally stopped someone and asked if anyone turned in my ID. Again, Khaliah did answer me in email and stated she would check, but she is the ONLY PERSON who was helpful!Either way, thank you FATHER for sparing me from this potential disaster!

Do not come here. No one answers any phone numbers listed for this business. Staff is the least professional that I have ever experienced at any branch. Expect long waits every time you come here. This branch should not exist. Corporate would do well to come here as an undercover customer to see how their customers are being treated on a everyday basis. It's like people don't care about their customers, job, or company.

Everything from the initial check-in to pick the car up was not good. To start off with, I really don't appreciate the way the front desk was set up. The guest chairs were lower than the worker's chairs on the other side, giving the feeling that you were sitting in a hole and in an inferior position to the employee. A STANDING front desk would be FAR better. But if you're going to have a seated front desk, don't put your customers in a lower seated level than the employee. Next, I was given a car (in Texas) that was plated with Tennessee plates and without a front plate. I requested to change to a different vehicle that at least had a front plate and was denied, even though there were SEVERAL other cars in the lot with both front and rear plates, most of them from Texas. You lost my future business right there. Then once I got in the car that I basically was forced to accept and began driving, I discovered that the windshield was not cleaned very well at all inside and was very streaky. I had to stop and clean it myself. There was an additional problem at pick-up as well which ate-up about an hour of time that I didn't have to waste before they got it resolved. I won't be renting from Hertz again.Hertz hurts.

So there is one great employee Bryan who was on point knew what he was doing and just knew the job and was probably the only one who explains things correctly. However when it comes to the other staff not so much they even have a lady there who was extremely disrespectful she straight up talks to the uber drivers crazy treating the workplace as if it's not a professional business.

Terrible car quality. I work with Uber and needed a car while my personal vehicle was in the shop. First thing I noticed in terms of service I wasn't given option of what kind of car I wanted. They didn't give me any of the options they had available just picked one for me and basically told me to deal with it.Next I wasn't allowed to go out and see the car myself the lady basically took photos instead of letting me go with her to see the car. Terrible practice.Lastly when I finally get the car and have all the responsibilities given to me first thing that hit me was the smell. It smelled really bad. Like the last person that used it was a heavy drug user. Next thing I noticed 2 tires were flashing the tire change warning. Prompting me to think that the women who got me this car saw this and ignored it while signing me on to drive this car.Didn't even use the car for a full week just bad car care all around. Never renting from this location again and probably Hertz as a whole.

Please be aware of a few things for those considering renting a car from Hertz at this location. They are currently experiencing some staffing challenges, which might lead to longer wait times. Additionally, there appears to be some overlap between Hertz Rent a Car and Hertz Uber Rentals, which could contribute to the delays. I had an issue with the cruise control on my rental after driving for about 30 minutes. When I returned to address the issue, they unfortunately did not have a replacement available. I spent significant time trying to secure a fully functional vehicle. I must commend the staff members at the desk, who were diligently managing the workload. However, the limited availability and vehicle quality were concerning. Please factor in potential delays and ensure vehicle functionality before departing.

Be smart don’t rent cars for Uber. Think about it. For the $4-600 they’ll charge you weekly you can get your own brand new car and pay it off fast with that $4-600 a week you’d be keeping then. A car loan is between $3-600 once a month. Now you have another 3 weeks you can keep that money instead of paying if Hertz cars for them. Be smart

This company is a absolute joke 10/10 don't recommend I was looking for a rental because my personal car is in the shop after weeks checking around to find gone best deal I settled after booking my for a week I received a confirmation email thinking everything is great. It's wasn't. Trying to get in touch with these people is a joke they displayed minimal to no communication. The number for the location went straight to the corporate office, where no one answer the phone. Oh and let me not forgot to mention that the store hours are wrong too I was told that my confirmation didn't exist I was question about if it's the right location and they had NO cars on the lot a waste of my time I'd rather ride a bike then rent a car from this company Too whoever sees this DONT SETTLE FOR THIS COMPANY Find others

Rude staff and extremely no concept of any service. Last place on earth to try get a rental car. They never ever pickup phone and when visiting in person- they act so rude and insulting manner.

I recently rented a car from Hertz as an Uber driver, and unfortunately, my experience has been incredibly frustrating. I noticed that the engine light came on, it became a cause for concern.When I went to the rental location specified, I was met with a closed facility. While there was a notification at the door, the contact number provided was incorrect, making it impossible to reach anyone for assistance. Furthermore, the alternative location recommended to me by Hertz does not cater to Uber drivers, which added to my inconvenience.Despite my efforts to resolve these issues, I encountered a lack of responsiveness from both the recommended location and the Hertz customer service line (800 number). Their inability to provide a satisfactory solution left me feeling helpless and burdened.I am deeply disappointed in Hertz as a company, as it is evident that they do not prioritize their customers' needs and fail to offer adequate support. This experience has not only caused significant inconvenience but has also resulted in financial loss, as I am paying for a car that I am unable to use.I believe it is crucial to inform others about the unsatisfactory service I have received from Hertz. I will make a point to share my experience with everyone I know, urging them to avoid renting a car from Hertz.
