Although I have already contacted GameStop's Corporate office. I wanted to clarify my complaint and put it in writing. On December 23 I called GameStop's Buckingham Place location, located at 1332 S Plano Rd Richardson, TX 75081, I did this to see the availability of their PS5 Slim stock. I was told they had some new non-bundle PS5 Slim's in stock. When I got there around 9pm I met with Michael (280755)-name was on the receipt. We spoke for about 15-20 min about what I wanted to get, what games were available etc. everything was fine. Until I told him that I would go ahead and get the PS5 Slim, I said "ok I'll go ahead and get that". Except where I normally would expect the merchant to get the item I asked for, he ignores me for a few minutes, walks over and rings me up without bringing out the item. I didn't think much of it except when he bought the item out, the seal on the box was damaged— maybe even broken. I asked him "this is new right the seal is damaged" he said something like "it's probably just box damage from being moved around." After I made my purchase and was waiting for my ride outside, I decided to poke my head back in and ask can I switch this one out for one without a damaged seal? He said that "that one was one of the few they had left" which made no sense because he implied they had more than one. The real issue is that he rang me up without even letting me see the 500 dollar item I was about to purchase. He waited for the purchase to clear before getting the system-like he didn't trust that I had the money. Granted I had some trouble with my card which was resolved when I switched credit cards. His making sure that I could pay for it by ringing me up first was done BEFORE the credit card issue. Another thing that made me question his actions was not only his refusal to TRY to find another system that didn't have a tampered seal (I have a history with this company and questionable hardware). But the fact that he watched me outside as I waited for my ride, like I may be dangerous, after I asked could I switch the system out. I just want to say I've been a decent customer of this store for over 20 years. When I brought the system home as it loaded my ps4 games it became very loud and at one point would not install a certain game, besides that I've no further trouble. To add to that before the transaction Michael was pretty respectful/helpful. I simply did not want to deal with a possibly faulty system that's supposed to be new which I paid 500 dollars for.
It has now been 3 months and I have not been made aware of the outcome of the situation.
I have been in contact with Pedro A and Stephanie Y who said they were unable to contact the store manager. Will the employee ever be held accountable for his actions?

My son purchased a gift card before Christmas and the card gave an error message basically that the card was deactivated but it had never been activated it was $50 and the General Manager shared with Angie sorry there is nothing we can do.After the sales rep had shared that this was not the first complaint in regard to similar matter.Make this right please my son works hard for his money to by for a Christmas gift for his friend.

When I arrived the sign said open but the doors were closed then the guy came and opened it and the person was just talking on the phone for a while we were waiting for a while the guy just kept talking and we left worst GameStop experience I've had come here if you just like waiting

We have been going to this GameStop for years and always have a great experience. They are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and never pushy. It always feels more like a small business who values relationships and getting to know their customer's preferences than some of its counterparts who are just trying to make a sale and push the latest and greatest. As a girl gamer who plays RPGs and farming Sims, it's also nice to be treated as a gamer and not overlooked when I'm with my husband.

Worst GameStop in America. They don't know ANYTHING about gaming. 1 employee is gamer that plays 1 game and has no knowledge or on pretty much anything really. Just order what you need online, it's cheaper!
