I am a disabled person, I get by walking using prosthetic legs, my mother also a disabled person struggles to get around using a Cain and walker. Went to this location roughly 10 am on Thursday, 06/22/2023 for normal banking activity, this branch was picked because my father is in the hospital at Methodist Renner and PGB Frwy. In Richardson TX, it was out of convenience. What an inconvenience it turned out to be. This branch has handicap parking spaces on only one side, it just happens to be the emergency use only door. I knocked on the door, a security guard came to the door and waved us around to the other side. I knocked again because we are both disabled. The security guard walked to where the service counter is located, walked back to the door and again waived us around to the other side. I am certain the security guard was able to see my prosthetic legs, as well as a feeble elderly lady hunched over using a Cain. We got back into our vehicle and drove to the other side. Where there are no handicap parking spaces, no handicap access ramps nothing that is at all accommodating to persons with a physical disability that can be clearly seen. This side of the building has a high curb that was difficult for both of us to navigate to get to the entrance. The security guard did open the interior door for us. Upon entering, I asked to speak with the manager, the security guard asked me why? I told him we are people with a disability, we parked in the handicap parking and knocked on the other door and nobody would open it. The security guard responded, So! I again stated that I would like to speak with the manager. The security guard pointed towards the service counter. I walked in the direction he pointed, I did not see anybody sitting in any of the offices as I walked to the service counter. The two people behind the counter were in the process of helping other customers. I again asked the security guard there is no one I. Any of the offices in this branch, is the manager one of the people behind the service counter. He responded NO! Then asked me what my problem was? I told the security guard that I wanted to make a complaint regarding no handicap accommodation, to get into this branch. I wish to speak with the manager, this was said loud enough for the other customers and the lady behind the service desk to say the manager is not onsite. The security guard asked me if I had a problem with that. I responded yes I do, how do I make a complaint regarding no handicap access to get into this branch. He responded that I don't! I was not at all aware that Advancial FCU hires security guards to intimidate customers. The lady behind the counter gave me a look and walked back to a door behind the counter, I mistaking took it that since she was looking at me she wanted me to come around to the hallway next to the service desk. I asked her why do you have the handicap spaces on that side of the branch, do you except people with a disability to walk around to this other side? She explains that Advancial is not responsible for the layout of this property. When the security guard walked past me, I see that she wanted to speak to him and not me. I continued to wait my place in line, we both conducted our business. I was depositing money into one of my accounts. The man behind the service desk is who helped me, upon completing my transaction, I asked who the manager was, he looked to the lady behind the desk then asked my why I needed to speak with the manager. I again explained about being disabled and the inconvenience it was getting into the credit Union today. This branch has been her for a number of years and I have entered through that door where the handicap parking spaces are a number of times over the years. The man behind the service desk said that was impossible as that door is always closed. I am quite certain I have been a customer with Advancial longer than probably all the employees that work at this branch, so I am very offended that the employees are so cavalier to call long time customers a liar. I have been using this location since I stopped working in downtown Dallas, They offer every banking service that I need: mortgage, debit and credit cards, bill paying, online banking, everything and all at very competitive rates. This location has great people working there who are very helpful and knowledgeable. I have used banks all over the world and they rate at the very top.

As a long term member, this Advancial location has always met my financial needs from auto and home loans to checking and savings accounts. Staff has been friendly and attentive - which is a welcome change from the abysmal service I've often experienced at other, more traditional banks. I just wish the return rates were better.

I've had good relations with Advancial, and would recommend it to friends or family. i've found great rates for deposit CDs and personnel easy to work with. Sometimes a little difficult to physically enter the building, but that is due to Covid.

I spoke with a loan officer on Friday morning he stated he would follow up with me that day ( within an hour or two to be exact) concerning my application and a week later, nothing! No phone call, email nor text. I figured since it was Friday that he would definitely follow up with me by EOD Monday and that was a hard NO! Please work on your customer service, I’ve been a loyal member since the 90’s

Out of all the Advancial I’ve been too I really don’t like this one at all I came to get a check made and went to the door for the office it was locked which I realized was because of COVID so I looked at the Security guard but she didn’t look up so I went back into your car and called the place so I could see if I could come in do to the sigh that said only one person is aloud in. the operator said that there was high volume calls but when I looked into the bank I could not see a single person on the phone they where just walking around doing nothing. I’m Very upset none of these banks are close to where I live and I sat on the phone for 30mins waiting. I will not come back to this location again I’ll go to the other locations. 0 stars
