This is an old 24 Hour Fitness that hasn’t been maintained or updated.
- Equipment: older, but in decent shape
- Free weights: the free weight area is crowded/small. There are 3 free weight racks and many weights are permanently missing. The weights are never reracked by staff when out of place
- Cleanliness: really gross. There’s one very friendly lady who lightly cleans, but they need an entire team and a deep clean. The equipment is never cleaned as far as I can tell and the locker rooms/sauna/pool are very dirty. There is visible mold, dust, and dirt everywhere.
- Hours: not 24 hours
I would have cancelled earlier but it’s hard to find other gyms with a pool. The pool gets gross enough that I don’t like to get in it though.

I don't want to tear this place apart, because I don't hate it, I still go there. But if you are planning to come here, These would be some pros and cons to consider before signing up.
Cons:
1, Machines are old, rusty and stick. Get a tetanus shot before working out. I've cut myself a couple times trying to unstick machine seats and pins.
2, Gym and floor very dirty, If you drop your gum there is no 5 second rule. Heck, just leave it there no one will notice.
3, No one racks their weights. There are days that I've seen a 100% no rack day. If you are a small person, this could be a problem for you.
4, Locker room and showers dirty, don't walk around bare foot.
5, If it's raining outside, it's probably raining inside too.
6, Not all trainers are worth the money. I've watched the same young guy with a client and he never takes his eye off his phone the entire workout. I noticed this when a client was asking him questions and he didn't answer. I walked around behind him to see if he was studying and exercise manual but he was just watching tiktok videos. He'll even count reps without ever looking up. I feel bad for his clients, they are being robbed.
Pros:
1, The place is large and has a very good variety of equipment and services.
2, The cardio classes look like they are having fun and working hard, classes are pretty big.
3, I've never seen it over crowded. Getting on a machine isn't too difficult.
4, The employees are helpful and very polite.
5, It is an older crowd, so people are a little more polite and "non-machine hogging"
6, They have a nice pool, sauna and steam room. I regret that I don't have time to use.
7, Price is fair.
Again, I don't want to beat the place up, it has issues, but it's ok.

This place is filthy.
I understand a gym can get dirty, that is understandable. But the mens locker room is disgusting. Dirt, mud, filth, grime is stacked up all along the floors in the locker room. I have been sadly going here for awhile, and it seems to NEVER ONCE be cleaned. I am disgusted anytime i need to change there and have even just my socks touch the floor. It is nasty. Like. Hire a cleaning crew to clean it atleast ONCE A WEEK. Is that so hard? I rarely write reviews but this place is atrocious.

So me and my friends we've made a membership for this gym and we were happy to find a gym close and cheap and the first couple weeks we've went to the gym and I had a situation so I couldn't go and my friend him and his brother went to swim after exercising and he went to swim and 3 minutes later they told him that he's getting kicked out and his membership is getting canceled and before this incident me and my friends were swimming and we were playing tag in the pool the pool was almost empty and their was a white guy and my friends brother went in his line were you swim and the guy got angry and he started to cus at me and my friends saying alot of racist thing and he told us to go back to our country and I didn't like that and I told the person that was working that this incident happened and she didn't care and that's it.

Do NOT swim in the pool if you’re under 18. This is by far the WORST rule I’ve ever seen. Why would you need a guardian it’s not like they are a certified lifeguard. Just hire a lifeguard it’s not that hard.

Brock was great when coming in to find a new club in the area. 10/10 and would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

I had NOT been to 24 hr fit. in a while and I will say the customer service and front desk staff has been nothing less than excellent.
Gym background: I am currently cutting down some extra fat, and water weight for competition. Both Vanessa and Cole we’re on duty early morning and I was fortunate to have been helped by them. I can appreciate professionalism and attention to detail. I used to work in a small family gym and everyone that trained there knew each other.
That was the “vibe” I was getting from the Richardson location (plano/campbell).
Anywho. Please visit 24 hr fitness here, you will not be disappointed by the information you will be given about various guidelines, gym etiquette, dress code and you might even land yourself a day guest pass if it is your first time visiting the gym!
Again, 5/5. In courtesy of Cole and Vanessa!
Thanks,
Love from Afghanistan.

5am to 10pm is not 24h. Why is this even allowed for a “24h” franchise???

Sigh ?
Maybe it’s lost on me, but it clearly saids 24 Hour Fitness..
I show up at 9pm, it’s closed. And so are most of them except the one DT.
Now I’m sitting in my car looking for a new gym to join.
Suggestion: please change the name to 12 hour fitness to accurately.

All the machines are very outdated. Today i had to hunt for a pin for the weight stack because it was missing. Treadmills and spin bikes seem like they’re hand me downs from another gym. They removed all of the paper towels from the bathroom and never upgraded the 1980’s hand dryers. It only takes 10 minutes for the machine to warm up and dry your hands. The jacuzzi has been broken for over a week. The trim in the sauna is falling off and you can literally see through the crack in the wall. The roof leaks everytime there is a storm and trash cans are placed throughout the gym to catch the rainwater. The gym is packed. At what point does the 24 Hour board of directors stop filling their pockets and upgrade their gyms?
Update: Went on 4/10/24 at 6:45am and the doors were locked. People were waiting to get in but couldn't. Guess the employees decided they weren't going to show up to open. So not only is it outdated but it's also unreliable.
