Not sure what happened to this place. Used to be great. It’s a mess and everything is dirty. First noticed around a year ago and nothing has improved in that time.

This was the best truck stop here in refugio
I remember u could stop at any hour during the night and there was at least hot dogs now everything is out of service and don’t have anything. Outside there is no water to clean windows and a complete mess

If I could I would give it a 0, the soda, hotdog and other machines are out of service, they don't even have bags of ice to sell, the staff is extremely rude. DON'T GET HERE THIS IS THE BEST GAS STATION/STORE SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD

Women’s restroom was acceptable….I would look elsewhere if that’s what your are needing. The stalls and the toilet itself were clean but the bathroom were very dirty. One of the paper towel dispensers was broken. There was a giant dusty industrial fan just sitting on the counter by the sinks.
My husband said the men’s room was disgusting. All of the toilets were soiled with feces. There was a pile of toilet paper with feces in the corner of one of the stalls. The urinals either had overflown water from the toilets or urine in front of them.

I regularly stop at this Travel Center on my way through town. This used to be an exceptional place - clean restrooms, strong iced tea, auto fuel readily available. All three areas have gone backwards over the past couple of years. They took away the fresh-brewed iced tea completely and replaced with slush/coffee machines that are sometimes out of service. The bathrooms are not maintained as well, sometimes being completely out of service with leaks during peak daytime hours. Auto fuel is also not available more times than one would expect. I'll still stop here on my trips but hoping things improve. Please consider bringing back the fresh-brewed iced tea. Thanks.

Nice place to take a 10 hour break if you're one in something to eat. The only thing they have in this truck stop is a Pizza Hut. The restaurant they had before is closed down. You can take a good hot shower. And there is always plenty of parking

Friendly and professional staff
Best showers I've seen in my 12 years of driving. Clean and plenty of hot water and only $10.oo
Meanwhile loves/ pilot charges 20 bucks for a shower and you only get cold water
Plenty of parking spots for truckers

Awful place. No hot food ready. Pop and shake machines out of order. Pizza Hut no personal pan pizza ready. It is lunch time, get on the ball!!!

The Refugio Travel Center is kept clean; inside and out. I stop there every time I head to Corpus Christi and back to let my dog out.

Well, this STORE DEFINITELY HASN'T CHANGED,...Rude, Rude, Rude...and I want to make it clear who I'm speaking of (One of Them is Maria), my buddy P. Gonzo and I come here every once and a while. Used to come more, but everytime we come back, it reminds us of why we run for the hills when we see "Refugio Travel Central (720 Victoria Highway). " Just nasty, treat you with that attitude of,...WHY ARE YOU HERE??? I took pictures so you know that complaint and review is valid. When I spoke to a gentleman in the rear, he was awesome. However, it took 10 mins of nastiness and waiting in line to ask a simple question and answer. OHHHHH SNAPPPSSS, when I got to Maria on check ✔️ out, CANT BELIEVE IT, BACK TO NASTY, NASTY....OMG...those reading this know what I mean....JUST LET IT GO AND DO YOUR JOB, THEY DONT PAY YOU TO COME TO WORK AND ACT THAT WAY. WHEN YOU GET HOME OUT OF PUBLIC,,...continue that nasty energy there, don't take it to work.
