Unbelievably unfair owner!! She stated she does not want to check the cameras or the purchases of the day that I purchased something and therefore can’t receive a refund for a mistake they made. Despite calling beforehand to make sure I’d be able to get a refund and going three times to finally show up a day she’s present. What happened was that someone added the wrong postage to an envelope (which I also bought at this store) so it was returned to my return address, all messed up. This was the store’s fault, even though I’m sure a small accident possibly due to the scale, however this should have been refunded when I brought the proof of what happened.
No I don’t have the receipt but the system has all of my information, I’m sure including the time of purchase, so that they can check the cameras. I cannot believe she was implying I could make up such a story. Why on earth would I care so much about a few dollars - it’s about the principle.
Everyone else working here is so sweet and kind though, but unfortunately won’t be back to this location.
Update in response to owner’s comment:
I did physically bring the envelope twice into the store, and I had it in my car if you needed to see it again. I was able to provide the exact date, and I don’t usually keep receipts because I thought information such as transaction time is recorded under my UPS account (though I won’t assume that again of course).
It was due to insufficient postage, because that’s what was stamped on the envelope by USPS.
As a comparison to another UPS store that I showed up at accidentally to (instead of the one Prosper), they took a few minutes to scroll through purchases on July 7th and attempt to find my transaction (which I felt really bad about since I didn’t realize it was the Prosper location until a few minutes later when they couldn’t find it).
Additionally, if you had thoroughly checked transactions in the system prior to me stopping by, I would have appreciated a message, since I was asked to leave my email and phone number.
I know that it’s September but I’ve been dealing with this with UPS since last month, because I was out of town in July when the envelope was returned to me.

I returned an item from Amazon and waited days to receive confirmation from UPS. I found out they got rid of the old receipt, put a new tracking number and now I have to wait up to 30 days to receive a refund from Amazon. I emailed them and no one responded. Lack of communication!!!
