It was much to my amazement to come to Power House Gym and see the high standards and expensive cardio and weights the gym had for its member. They even have assault treadmills which are sorely lacking in my other gym membership. I think this is top of the line gyms in 150 mile radius. Don’t miss out”

“I was transferred to Port Arthur for work and live in Bridge City. When I was looking for a CrossFit gym, I found 3rd Coast Movement, a gym that mixes CrossFit/Olympic movements with functional training. This is a gym for anyone, no matter who you are! Not only are the people who go to the gym so friendly, but the coaches are engaging, knowledgeable, and personable. No matter your restrictions or skill level, they will customize a plan just for you, even while in a class. They make sure everyone is comfortable with the movements and are with you every step of the way. I started with Coach Adam for my launch program, a series of 12 one-on-one sessions to introduce you to the movements and complete workouts, before going to classes. He taught me so much about confidence and showed patience while I was working on new types of lifts. This method works wonders! It allows the coaches to get to know you, your skill level, and your restrictions prior to the classes so they can assist when needed. The classes are the perfect size and everyone is so encouraging! I can’t say enough about this place, other than you have to go and try it for yourself; it is worth every penny!”

“I'll preface this review by saying that I'm new to the area; I'd literally never heard of Port Arthur until I was asked by my employer to come and oversee and commercial remodel project. During my first few days in a new area, I definitely look through yelp reviews and kind of evaluate the language and tendencies of the local people and it has almost always served me well... Then there's this city. I went through so many written reviews, let me save you the trouble and sum it all up: for whatever reason everyone that's been to this gym or any local restaurants or hotels can't believe how poorly they've been treated. Now, back to reality. This gym is unreal. Unreal as in THEY DID THIS ON THEIR OWN. No corporate backing like a strip mall Anytime Fitness, no Walmart-type juggernaut like 24 or Lifetime. This place (and the gym in Beaumont) is owned and operated by people that live here who just so happen to love the fitness industry and the GOOD people that promote it. Owner's name is Travis; he literally rules. I've worked in gyms for the last 15 years as a personal trainer, never met an owner like this guy. This gym has everything that a Dallas or Houston gym has, but it's in PORT ARTHUR, TX. Honestly I recommend reading all the reviews about businesses in this are with like 6 or 7 grains of salt. I have no idea what they're complaining about.”
