I had a terrible run in with the driver of one of this company’s concrete pump trucks this morning. They were completely blocking the road, and I had an 18 wheeler trying to get to my property to deliver sod. The lazy and rude driver (as well as a couple of other employees) could not be bothered to spend a couple of minutes to move their truck so the 18 wheeler could get by. Rather than moving their truck up 5 ft, the driver decided he couldn’t be bothered with this massive task. His recommended solution was for the 18 wheeler to reverse about 150 yards, onto Highway 361 (where there have been multiple fatality accidents in the last month), and go a different way. The pump truck was not connected to a cement truck. It was simply just sitting there blocking the whole road. The company’s truck has a huge sticker on it showing their four core business ideals. (See photo attached). Ironically above everything was the word “Safety”. Apparently this doesn’t mean the safety of others, instead only safety if it doesn’t inconvenience their lazy driver. It would’ve taken pushing a couple of buttons, and probably no more than 5 minutes to allow the 18 wheeler to pass through. Instead, the driver ended up having to drive over multiple curbs through medians, etc. Rather than moving the truck, he chose to refuse to be courteous to those HE was inconveniencing, for at least 15 minutes. This company may be great, but this driver (pictured wearing the orange shirt) should no longer have the opportunity to represent this company any longer. The picture of the 18 wheeler having to ride over curbs is pictured as well. Absolutely ridiculous.
