I really hate shopping at Walmart. The one thing I do there is order photo prints. So today I go to pick up my prints - waited for 20 minutes- not one soul stopped to ask if I needed anything. Oh, employees were passing me by. Three of them passed me to go to the restroom but they just stared straight through me. I'm on my lunch break and couldn't wait any longer so I decide to 'help myself.' I went behind the counter and started digging for my items. We'll finally someone took noticed, chastised me for being in an employee only zone and really didn't care that I had been waiting. I made it out with my purchase but dang! Walmart needs to have employees working every dept and train said employees on good customer service

I completed my checkout at one of the shelf checkouts at my local Walmart in Port Arthur, with my receipt in my hand. I walked out of the front door and headed to my car. After checking for cars passing by I walked into the crosswalk when someone yelled at me from behind, I turned around, and a plain-clothed associated and with one in a vest told me to come back so they can check my receipt. I turned and walked to the associate, asking the plain-clothed associate what the policy was on stopping customers outside of the store to check a receipt? He told me that they could, at that point I reminded him about the AP09 policy the company has to stop shoplifting and that they were not allowed to stop anyone past the front sidewalk for anything, let alone a simple receipt. I told him that I was a Store Co-Manager in the past, and I know the policy. In a very cocky nonchalant tone, he said that's fine and gave me back my receipt. At this point, I was furious, and on my way to my car, I called home office to report the issue. Still, when I spoke to the guy on the phone about the incident, he told me they could go into the parking lot to detain me if they wanted, my hatred for this company grew as I asked him when were they were going to stop treating people as criminals? He responded that he would pass this off to the Store Manager so I can receive a call about the issue, guess what I haven't gotten, even after trying to call the store directly myself? How long will Walmart continue to break the law and its own policies?

Your typical Walmart? Well, compared to the ones in California this is a super duper Walmart. It has a bakery, meat selection and other extended isles not typically seen in California. I happen to like Walmart because you can buy everything under one roof. The one thing I didn't like about this place were the lines. But, they do have all registers open.
