When I arrived at the store, I wasn't even acknowledged or greeted at the front desk by the 2 employees that were working. It was not busy when I went in. I had an appointment, and there were only 2 other people in the store besides me. The employees both had the 2 customers at the desk, but even when the customers went to sit down after a few minutes, they were both just on their phones at the desk and ignored me. I waited until someone came in from the shop before I was greeted. I told this employee what I was there for (install 2 tires that I purchased on DT website) and told him that it was the driver's side rear tire that had a leak and one other mismatched tire that I wanted exchanged. So he took my keys and I sat down and waited for about 30 minutes. Then a different employee from the shop came inside and told me that they were only able to get one of my tires off of my car (the front driver's side, NOT the one with the leak, even) because the wheel lock key was stripped out "due to wear and tear". I informed him that was strange because the key was not stripped when my husband used it the previous week manually to take the tire off and plug it temporarily. When I looked at the key itself, it was obvious that the damage to the key was done by an air wrench and not by manual use. The inside of the key was all chewed up. So basically he lied to me and tried to say this was normal and happens all the time with these lugs, etc. when I thought it was obvious that they had stripped the key in the shop and just didn't want to admit that. He told me to go to the dealership and they would get me another key, but I shouldn't have to do that. This employee went on further to explain that they had only been able to remove the front tire, and couldn't put the lug that locks back on after. He said, "It's fine, it's not going to come off or anything, it just isn't locked." I took that to mean that there was the correct number of lugs holding my tire on. He handed me the kit that held the damaged key and several lugs, 2 of which did not have locks. So instead of putting BOTH regular lugs on to hold my tire in place, the staff in the shop only put ONE lug that locks on to hold my tire, which I am sure is quite dangerous. My overall experience with Discount Tire at this location was awful. You are better off taking your business elsewhere.

Had this incident happen to me, where the nails were too close to the sidewall. I bought these tires at this location with the hazard warranty that they offer which covers this, when I showed up they were making excuses as to why they couldn’t warranty them. What’s the point of having the warranty if they’re not going to honor it? Wouldn’t recommend you buy from here!!!

Made a 3:00pm 4/5/24 appointment and left work EARLY to rotate and balance the set of GY Tires I bought with DC Tires in Nederland TX. Get there at 2:45pm and this guy greets me as I’m parking. I told him I have an appointment to rotate and balance my tires. He looks at my tires and says they can’t because my tires are too worn. I’m like TOO WORN ? Are you serious? He then says “but we can make you a deal on a new set” and I’m like are you FREAKING serious? But that’s not the worst of it, I asked to speak to the manager and HE WAS THE MANAGER !!!! And now I’m thinking OMG this is our future. So now we have a guy who probably just graduated from high school, telling a 53 year old man his tires on his truck is too worn to FREAKING rotate and balance. Well God bless America folks, because if this is our future we’re in serious trouble and will need his help, especially when you pay almost a thousand dollars for a set of tires and you can’t even get them rotated and balanced at the place you bought them without some kid saying they can’t because you need a new set. I will “WALK” before I ever go back to these guys.??

Last week I got a nail in my tire, so I had to bring my truck after work to get the tires replaced. I ordered a whole new set and decided to replace all 4 since the old ones had about 65k on them. I returned home. The next mornin the TPMS sensor was leaking air on my way to work and left me on the highway. I had to get towed back to Discount. I was approached by Tyler the manager and he first asked how much my tow was, I had AAA so it was free, he then asked what then problem was and I had informed him what happened. He then insisted on “making it right” shook my hand and said he’d cover me on my ticket for the terrible inconvenience. Come to find out this was due to a faulty TPMS sensor. They were very accommodating and respected my time while I was there. Great experience and would recommend you give this store your business.

It’s truly sad when you can’t sit in peace while getting your car serviced. What happened to elevator music playing versus a political agenda? I’ve always gotten my tires done here and would like to continue to do so without political or religious propaganda being shoved down my throat. Can we get back to the days of people sharing a space and talking about children’s sports seasons or dinner options with light and peaceful music playing in the background? So disappointed in discount tire for this.

Went to purchase just one tire with a specific size. And it’s not the service writer fault he was new and I understand that part. What I’m concerned about is they tried to give me a get tire that wasn’t the right size or right brand and didn’t notify me of it. I almost walked away but noticed it wasn’t the right size. I asked them where my actual tire was and they told me it was out of stock after I already purchased it. I also asked for a discount on my next tire for the inconvenience but another service writer blamed the new guy for being new. Which was not professional and also seemed like a lacking in training. He denied any discount for their inconvenience. Pls look at what you buy before you leave make sure it’s the right product. I’m just concerned about the situation because I wonder how many times they gave the wrong product to customers

Young employees not paying attention to detail. Didn't tighten my custom hubs after installation. Lost 1. Almost lost another. They said they'll replace them. Waiting to see.
